I'm perfectly fine with this call. Blocked FG could lead to a return. And God forbid you kick it right to Patterson on the KO.

1st down ices the game. Missing it gives them the ball in their own territory with hardly any time
Blocked FG could lose the game. Even a made FG and you have to kickoff only up 6 which could give up a return
The call to go for it was fine, just didn't get it.

No need for a FG, and even if we did it put us up by 6 and we would have to kickoff. The highest probability call was to go for it…it just didn’t work out. A win is a win though.
