Great article on why our offense is working so well and how Kubiak is going against his own tendencies from the Vikings and 49ers days.

I think it's simple. Take a look back at why the Brees offenses were so good. Brees, before his arm started failing him, was able to go deep and with extreme accuracy. The defenses had to respect that and it opened the run game. Once Brees' arm started hurting, his pass plays were typically the 3 to 15 yard area around line of scrimmage. Defenses then stacked the box and it was difficult for Alvin to run for bigger chunks.

As long as Carr can hit that bomb, Kamara will be able to balance the offense on the ground successfully.

Great take!

I agree with your take on the deep ball being important but equally important is the diversity of plays. Kubiak keeps zigging when they think he will zag. And even when they guess that he's gonna zag, the zag is disguised with enough window dressing to make the defense second guess that he's zagging.

I think as of today this Kubiak offense is keeping the dlines guessing which is keeping them from pinning their ears back vs the run or the pass. Teams will try to adjust.

Bert, I agree with this as well. There’s no doubt that Kubiak’s inventive play calling is throwing defensive coordinators off track.

Carr has always had pretty good deep ball accuracy.

The offensive line is playing up to its potential.

I knew Fuaga would be good, but pkaying much better than I imagined as a rookie. McCoy was very good his first couple years but had noticeably regressed the last few years. Ruiz was the top interior lineman in his class but has been average at best.

No one saw a journeyman lg pksying at an elite level. Nor Penning actually being serviceable in the passing game and pretty good at run blocking.

The offensive line has been making this team go. Lots of it is the scheme and misdirection on plays. But give credit to the players. Kubiak really emphasized run blocking, you can see it from the receivers and tight ends.

No doubt Carr will see some blitz packages to keep him from hitting deep routes but that could leave Kamara or the tight end open. Gonna be fun to watch.

Kamara has the same stats as CM
Taysom is better than Juszcyk
The media is saying Shaheed should be talked about with Tyreek Hill also

Olave is a top 3 WR in the intermediate level and Shaheed is the number 1 deep threat in the league. Not my opinion, saw this based on statistics. Hill, Kamara, the TEs cover the short area.

The fresh play calling has been nice. I said it before on here but this offense is not predictable like the past 3-4 years.

Pete’s offense was CSPs offense which was tailored to Brees. He never adjusted it based on the QBs talents. Kubiac is game planning to his personnel. Novel fricking idea.
