I’m going with Stanley Jean-Baptiste. He was a 2nd round draft choice who never made an impact at all. He was so bad that he was cut from the roster after just one season.

Normally teams hold on to players drafted in the 1st and 2nd round for years hoping to get something out of them and to not look stupid for drafting them. That didn’t happen here. The coaches quickly cut him loose and didn’t look back.

Probably shouldn’t ask a question like this if your idea of history is nothing before 2009.

Sullivan at 6 was pretty bad. I'm willing to give Penning 1 more year and see if he can improve. Ruiz was awful his first 2 years, didn't get benched but still bad, and he improved. I think Ruiz at least is around average, but that's better than awful.

Pretty sure Russell Erxleben is top of the list with Sully firmly in second.

Turner is at least a better candidate than SJB who was pick 58

Besides Sullivan there Shawn Knight Russell Erxleben and Joe Campbell

We traded an entire draft for a RB that spent his best years with another team

You’re saying a late 2nd rounder is the worst pick in the history of a franchise that traded 2 mid first rounders to move up the 6 and take Johnathan Sullivan, who played 3 years and was a complete stiff Shawn Knight was pick 11 and also played only 3 years in the league (for 3 different teams!) Russell Erxleben was a kicker taken in the first who made like 4 FG and was mostly used a punter

A 2nd round pick is pretty high draft choice. It’s rare that a 2nd rounder makes no impact and gets cut after just one season.

We traded two firsts for Sullivan and all he did was eat Popeyes and show up to camp 350 lbs.

it’s not a comparison

Pick 58 is not really “pretty high”

Is it? But that’s not remotely “worse” than a #6 overall pick, (who cost 2 first rounders) and also did nothing or a #11 pick

A 2nd round pick is always a high draft pick. Just ask any NFL GM. I think you’re just arguing semantics here.
