Who will have a better year: Penning or Bresee?

I think both will have excellent years.

Bresee will stand out more on the stat sheet obviously because O-Linemen are the unsung hero's.

I agree that one pick working out doesn't make another pick better but to say the entire draft is a bust in one guy doesn't work out is dumb. If we drafted 3 long term starters or one or two starters and a few contributors then the draft is a success regardless of how any single pick turns out.

I know he was injured and played sparingly last year, but when he did play, he looked slow. Looks good in run blocking, but his pass protection just looked ehh.

I think Bresee will have more opportunities this year to make plays. But hopefully Penning steps up this year.

Would like to see Penning and Peat at guard lol. Would be great for the run game. But could Hurst, Young or Saldiveri actually hold down the LT spot?
Also Kidd had a nice camp last year at guard.

I also think Penning looks unnatural when he kick slides. I honestly think he will end up being an All Pro guard for us in the future.

Penning. Don't DTs typically have slow starts in the league?

Both will be on IR before the season begins.

We don’t need it, but at some point you have to admit it’s no longer a coincidence but a disturbing patter that extends to the Pels as well.

It’s not just drafting injury prone players (though we seem to favor RAS over availability), and you should question our medical staff.

Until proven otherwise for several seasons, I’d expect another year with above average injuries for the Saints (including Penning and Bresse missing games).
