I like him but I agree his "Passing Complete" and "Pass Incomplete" sounds identical. Though if you are in the dome, you shouldn't be confused considering you are watching the same thing he is and should know the difference.

What exactly would he have to do to be good at his job? He is not a tv play by play guy, nor is he providing color commentary. His job is to announce the result of the play, that's it.

fair enough, i can understand those thoughts, hell i may have even complained about it some in the past, but it grows on you. he does his job and has for over 40 years. he has his own style and that is what makes him. a saints legend!

Exactly.
I'm not one who has a problem with other people complaining about things having to do with football, but this is f'ing stupid! Complain about the radio announcers, the seating, the concessions, the parking, the fans who may or may not cheer, fine, no problem. But, it's the PA guy, who gives a shite? If you can't tell whether it was a complete or incomplete pass, give your tickets to someone who will pay attention. I hardly notice him as he's just background noise.

As far as my initial post, I said generally(keyword) the people that don't like him are new age fans. You won't find many older fans who talk bad about the guy. But there are some. And that is fine, but to say you prefer the hornets guy allows me to say you have horrible taste.

Wrong...I was never impressed and have been a fan since I can remember which is around 1973. Its not a big deal to me but would love to see him step down and let some new blood win the job.

Your not a season ticket holder, the opinion of someone that hears him once every few years hardly matters to me. Long time ticket holders adore him, unless you have bad taste. In that case you must realize where some of our fans venture from to see games

I like him a lot. I always laugh when he has the occasional mess up but I associate his voice with the saints and superdome. It would feel weird to me if I heard another voice after a first down
