With the Super Bowl being idiotically played in NY/NJ?
Watching the Saints possibly do all it takes to secure home field only to be in the SB in an early February blizzard?
If they do NOT make it I hope temps are near zero and it is the shittiest game ever played due to elements. The days of the Ice Bowl should be over. I feel division and conference playoff weather considerations enhance the regular season, but Saints or no Saints the Championship should be a "clinical" test. Free from the elements. Of course if you get a rain storm in Miami (Indy vs Chicago) or LA that cannot be helped. But to knowingly put teams in a open air stadium subjected to this is ridiculous. I hope a celebrity bitches and moans. Gwenneth Paltrow or Robert Pattinson get pneumonia or something. Or better yet Pattison (sp?) gets frostbite to the face and scores of young girls cry out.
Have not seen a gripe on here about this yet. So here is mine.

I've been thinking about it. I think this road test at Seattle will be a good determination of how we might play in that kind of weather. I'm sure the roof will be open and I'm sure I will be freezing. Not that it's the same thing, but if we get blown out (not likely) that will be pretty disheartening.
And I think that also depends on who we play. If someone like NE makes it, that's gonna be a huge disadvantage considering they live and practice in that kind if weather. But also, I'd really like to face Manning there too. His arm strength will hopefully be shot by then.

I can't believe the league is doing this.
Well, I can.

This team is different. It's growing. It's doing things it hasn't done before. If we pull off the win next Monday, screw it, bring anybody you got.

This is the same league that is sending teams to play a "home" game in London and also is proposing to add more shitty Thursday night games.
Do not underestimate the power of idiocy.

There will be two teams that must play in NJ. The Saints will just be one. That other team must deal as well.

But in response to the OP, I'd take a Super Bowl trip to anywhere (no matter what the weather is) over not going.

I'd say there's a 40% chance of precipitation, and 100% chance that the roof in Seattle will be open.
There, call me the prognosticator of prognosticators.
On a sidenote, does anyone else think the stadium in Seattle looks like a European soccer stadium?

Not only is the weather an issue, the size of NYC is an issue. It's just too big and all the events will be spread out. Fans won't have much interaction because they will be spread out and they won't stand out due to the millions of people who live there.

And if Denver makes it, they'll be use to it.

I am looking forward to be the 1st Dome team yo win the Super Bowl in Freezing weather and in the process showing the world that Drew Brees is the best QB in Football.
By the way I am pretty sure the roof will be open on Monday night no matter what the weather is..

We really need another dome team to make it there too if we do. Preferably one who plays against division foes who are also dome teams, or not in cold locations.
Indy?
Indy?

Because no one else said it, only laughed, I will. The roof on CenturyLink is not retractable. It looks like it should be, but it is not. The odd overhang shape is only there to amplify sound rather than "close" the roof.

No shite. I wish they sucked and were saving until next year. . . .

BTW, I do think the NJ is a dumbass site for the SB.

Oh Brett.
1. There is no roof.
2. Temperatures in Seattle are relatively mild compared to the NE. Just for comparison purposes, the weather.com extended forecast has a low of 40 for the MNF game. The Denver/NE game tomorrow night in Boston has a low of 15 and a "feels like" of only 5 degrees at kickoff
