No. None of this.

Allen was asked to get Williams a TD. The team was asking. If he had any balls, he says yes. However, if he had any pulse on the team, he would have been trying to get him one over the last 4 games.

Knowing the team did it after he said no, he should have ate that publicly, called Arthur Smith the pussy that he is for crying, and then take it up with the team privately. He grossly mishandled this situation and, to me, with everything else going on, should be grounds for his dismissal.

frick the Falcons.

But DA throwing them under the bus in the presser betrays a lack of integrity which likely underscores why he’s lost the locker room in the first place. Nobody wants to play for a weasel.
Just another example of how unprepared he is to be a head coach.

It can happen and it should. There are a lot of players on this Saints team who are disposable.

Was looking for this clip

And found this one as a suggested clip

The context isn't the same, just thought it was funny they were linked together

All the people on this board (not you NOSHAU) complaining about this play need to go be fans of another team.

The Saints just endured a season of expectations that fell way lower than we thought. And, to top if all off, they are keeping the coach responsible for that failure.

We had one bright spot yesterday where he showed some balls, only for us to find out that he has none.

Its going to be a rough ride. If you have a problem with yesterday's last TD, go complain about it on the Falcons board.

if DA is still the coach the first thing I do is cut Jamies.

This only works if you are getting rid of most of the locker room.

I don't think a team would do this to Belichick or Reid.

but people letting their hate for Allen cloud their judgment of pathetic players doing such a disrespectful thing on so many levels is just sad.

This isn't real football. It's money. The players are entertainers and they entertained everyone with their call.

I don’t think THIS team would’ve done this with Payton.

Lost in all this discussion it should be noted that the Falcons' players, who are the "aggrieved" party, didn't actually care. Don't take much for a scuffle to start in Saints/Falcons games but look how the players reacted.

Then cut the entire team cause they all hate DA as he cost them playoff bonuses. Maybe DA should pay every player their missed playoff and Division winner money. Then they can all be square. Till then f@ck DA and the FO.

Oh congrats to DA for his 1st winning season in 5 tries.

In detail, explain the cap implications of cutting the 11 players on the field, and the rest of the ones who have shown support. Secondly, please explain the cap implications of firing a coach who has clearly lost control of the locker room. Finally, please explain why you are being a baby back bitch about hurting the Failcons' feelings.

I don't blame Allen for calling out the players in the press conference. It was bush league what they did and there needs to be consequences for the players somehow.

I'm starting to think the best move for Allen would've been to fall on the grenade and say he's responsible for the call and handle things privately. Better to appear guilty than impotent.

I think he's given the GM no choice but to fire him. He can't come back from players openly disregarding his authority.

DA did the worst possible thing yesterday. Apologized to our rivals while simultaneously throwing his own players under the bus, and revealed to the world that he is not in control of the team.

He could not have possibly done worse for himself than he did, and somehow this moron is still employed by the Saints.

Apologizing for the pathetic and cheap behavior of your players versus an opponent actually took guts. I think the guy should be fired for many other reasons, but this is not one of them.

I do think players should be cut because they suck and clearly show what is important to them is not winning, but padding stats like a bunch of wusses.

I posted this in the other thread about this but:

Stephen A and Shannon Sharpe think Jameis should be cut and Allen should be fired for this.

2) DA's reaction to it was pure lack of emotional control and not becoming of a leader. They asked and he said NO and they did it anyway. His response should have been "It wasn't the called play, we'll deal with it in house. Next question".

It's my biggest problem with DA. He does not come across as a leader in any scenario or situation I've seen him in. This whole thing only confirms this IMHO.

Cut the whole team because the stupid arse coach doesn't understand that they want to get a teammate a TD on the year. Dennis should've thanked them for not quitting on his dumbass so he could finally get a winning season as a coach.
