Great young core + star players like Cam Jordan, Drew Brees, and Mark Ingram

I know green bay and Rodgers are always a threat, but you can't convince me they're more complete than Minnesota, Atlanta, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and LA rams.

For starters, hopefully the injury bug doesn't wreck us next season. The idea of a healthy team is exciting enough. We're young, no longer in cap hell, and don't have as many pressing needs. A solid draft and free agent haul means we're loaded, another off-season anywhere close to last year... Superbowl.

It’s wide open for the Saints next season. Brees breaking records or close to them.

QB - HOF
RB1A - 1,000 yards
RB2B - 1,000 yards
WR - STUD
OL - Solid

DEF - Solid, above average

K - BOTH are good

HC - Passionate and has 1 Super Bowl win

I think these five teams have a chance depending on health and FA/Draft hits. Saints/Rams/Eagles/Jaguars/Vikings. Dam the NFC is loaded. If Jax gets either Alex Smith or Kirk Cousins I think they are better than the Seahawks of a few years ago. The Saints match up well with everyone on this list however so ill pick us for one.

The IR list can't be/won't be as bad as this year was, so...

Green Bay has had a Swiss cheese D for years and Rodgers always has them in the playoffs. They will be a contender next season if he stays healthy. Vikings and Rams will fall back down to earth.

Conveniently left out the only nfc team that’s gone back to back in the playoffs.
But cool. Skol.

Philly is over the cap right now and will have to make some decisions. They could potentially be dismantled and be a completely different team next season.
Saints and Rams are keeping their core guys.
Not sure where Atlanta and Minn sit but the Vikings will have to make a decision at QB.

Lol y'all had your chance. That blown 25 point lead is going to haunt the Falcons for a while.

We were a year ahead of schedule, IMO. Rookies were phenomenal, which is why we made it as far as we did. Without the injuries we win it all. I still say even if we won last weekend, we probably get to the super bowl but lose a close game versus the Pats. Would have loved to see us have that shot though. I don’t know if I could handle a super bowl loss.

DD, what’s that like?

Not sure I believe that at all. We just went to the divisional round of the playoffs. I could easily say that your 25 second collapse will haunt the saints for a while.

But I’ve watched enough football in my life to know neither of those is true. Each game of each season is played in a bottle. Great teams can be shitty the next year and shitty teams can be great.
We’ll see what happens but should be fun.

It sucks, just like losing with 10 seconds left in the game to one of The most memorable playoff plays ever. That’s gonna be on loop tomorrow and next year and in 10 years.

And still pales in comparison to 28-3...
