What's the deal with Hendrickson?

Was surprised to see him inactive vs the Browns. He really looked like he was making strides in the preseason. Given how anemic the pass rush has looked, why not give him a chance? Is he that bad at run defense? Why can't he be used in passing situations?

He looked so promising last year and was good against the run last year. This year, especially preseason just didn’t seem to make that 2nd year leap. Hopefully he’s just in a little slump and will get out of it

He looked solid. Not great or stood out

Thought hendrickson was on injury report last week and thats why he didnt play.
Healthy scratch would be weird.
Dude looked fine in preseason ans i expect him to make plays this year. Really like him as a 3rd end but now we have to give davenport snaps also

Needed Loewen as he can play inside (with Davison being out), so Hendrickson was a healthy scratch.
Plus they like what they see from Davenport. Won't be enough snaps to go around sooner than later.

Rated higher than Chubb... I know it's a small sample size but that says something. Game 3 was when our rookies really stepped up last year. Let's hope that trend continues next Sunday(even with the 2nd yrs), Lord know we need em to.

That makes sense, and folks, I wasn’t dogging Hendrickson earlier. I didn’t miss any games altogether in the preseason but did have to miss a few quarters here and there, maybe I missed a few plays by him. I think he can be a good contributor for us.

I think it's more they wanted some depth at DT since Davison was out, wanted to play Davenport more and Hendrickson was just the odd man out seeing as how Cam doesn't come out often and Okafor and Davenport split time.

I think Davenport is still learning. It is possible that right now they are trying to put Davenport on the field when the probability of the pay is higher.
