1 tackle who’s an all pro and gets 25 mil per year or 2 good tackles for 12.5 per year

Another

1 wr who gets 20 mil or 2 WRs making 10 a year.

Does the superior player at non qb positions make enough difference to pay them or are you better off spreading the money to more players

The tackle who is an all pro. Especially if he’s a LT. LT is a premium position. Having an elite talent there gives you peace of mind protecting your QB’s blindside.

The WR one is a little interesting, but I guess it depends on the production of the 2 WR’s making 10 a year. To me, a HEALTHY Michael Thomas is worth 20 million a year. Because he’s elite and that good when healthy.

I take the more expensive player on both

A tackle making $12.5M a year on a 2nd contract is probably not a great player. I'd rather have the premium player and be consistently trying to find a rookie that can serve on the other side, like we did with Ramcyzk.

As for the receivers...You're in the same boat. JuJu just signed for more than $10m a year. You are barely getting 2 replacement level players at that price.

An All-Pro probably makes those around him better so I’ll take that in both a LT and a WR.

Same. Go with the two studs.

I'm assuming you mean OT and not DT

2 OTs
1 WR

ETA: I'm also assuming there are no elite guys on rookie deals at either position

You question is similar to the way I have always felt about the running back position.

Why draft high and pay a lot?

If I can have a first round RB that is costing me 8-10 million a year for 1200 yards, I would rather have a RB for 2-3 million that gives me 800 yards.

So on the WRs if i have 1 then maybe I get 90 catches for 1000 yards. With two I might get 75 from one and 60 from another.

The main issue is putting all that salary inti one player that can be injured.

a complete new front office GM and coaching staff would be a really great start.

as to your query, you wont have much success by filling your team with discounted average players, you need true skill players who are difference makers, otherwise your not trying to do anything but just win enough games to keep your job

Depends on who my qb is. If they’re elite give me the two good players as opposed to the elite ones. If they’re middle of the road I’d like some elite options to make them better.

And here is the elephant in the room.
