I like the Haener pick, even liked how he improved as the games went on in the preseason. I think it’s safe to say, especially after a 6 week suspension, he’s going to need a year or 2 to develop

With the quality of QBs coming out this year, you don't have the luxury of sitting on him for 2 years. He needs real game experience so the team can properly evaluate him and make an offseason decision (assuming any of the current staff is still with the team).

If carr is out for Atlanta, I think it's 50/50 Winston or haener. At the very least, a quick hook for Winston

They’re not starting Haener with their jobs on the line. Just not happening. Never in life.

Sure but 7 points in the first half instead of 3 and JW doesn’t have to gamble as much. DA can rationalize that JW gets him a few more points and so all he has to do is ratchet down his D to win. I’m not saying he’s right… just saying that’s the thought process with your job on the line and a precarious hold on first place.

If they come out of the bye week and lose to the Falcons there will be no reason not to find out what you have in Heaner. The information and game experience will help you shape you 24 draft.

bullshite...they are too stupid to realize starting Haener may indeed give them the life preserver they need.
