Then he should be fired. That would make what 5 nfl seasons without a winning record?
I could maybe see the appeal if he was some up and coming savant with a high ceiling trying to find his way but he’s not. He’s likely what he is. A good coordinator that is in no way head coaching material.

No, because he’s just further proving that he’s a career loser and that he’s not cut out for the head coaching position. That would be 4.25 losing seasons out of 4.25 seasons as a head coach. It’s just not him.
The Saints then need to make the slam dunk hire of Ben Johnson from the Lions.

We should rip the band-aid off as soon as possible. Us giving him extra years is just delaying the inevitable.

Half a decade of being a head coach without one winning season. In a division that might be the worst in the league in the last 20 years?
Yea he’s walking the plank….

With the moves they've made and considering how awful the division is this year, he needs to win the division

Saints winning at least 10 games. Im believing 11-13.

You can’t really just go off record.
If we go 8-9 but that’s with Carr injured for six games, a loss due to a bad call by a ref and some tough Thursday night losses with a wildcard birth; Allen unfortunately gets to stay.
If we go 8-9 with no significant injuries and no playoffs, he should be gone before the season ends.

Last season was the most wins he's ever had as a head coach so there is that at least.
the 3-game win streak towards the end of the season came against teams that were playing without the QB's that started the season for them. Cleveland was different because of the DeShaun Watson suspension though. Atlanta had the training wheels on Ridder but we only won that game by three. Then we got the surprise win at Philly pretty much due to the pick six by Lattimore. Gardner Minshew had looked a lot better the week before against Dallas than he did against the Saints.
I think if we see a lot of backups QB's have to play again this year around the league and Carr at least stays healthy, that could be good.
trouble is even if it isn't Carr that gets hurt, it will probably be a few O-linemen for example. I just hope that isn't the case because there were a few games last year that just didn't give me much confidence because the O-line was just kind of a patchwork group.

if he can't get 10 wins with this roster, in this division, not only should he be fired, he needs to be in fricking jail

Needs to win the division this year regardless of record.
Winning the division is a must.

That’s a little harsh. They’re far from perfect, but Loomis and company are respected around the league.

I’d fire him.
I’d have already fired him though.
But saints won’t fire him if he goes 8-9. You’d look pretty stupid firing head coach after the best year of his career.
