I think people have sufficiently addressed how he was set up for failure in Oakland.

1) Let’s just get this out of the way—you are an absolutely atrocious poster. I mean, fricking bad.

2) I found it encouraging that a defensive head coach with 2 1st round picks in his 1st draft in his new position, went offense for both picks.

3) What is the alternative? Seriously? Being a fricking miserable, whiny bitch, littering up the board with your horrendous posts and shitty takes until September? Oh, excuse me, “until you see it,” whatever the frick that means. I find life much more enjoyable to give people the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best when I have literally zero control over what they do, rather than bitch and moan and be negative over something that hasn’t happened yet and may never.

4) But you do you. Just try doing it without posting, because, like I said, you’re fricking terrible.

Let's compare with closer to some posters level as related to Dennis Allen.

Tomorrow you start your new job at a poultry farm. Your job is shoveling chicken shite. Rule one is always throw shite to the left. Your first day, one time by mistake you throw it too the right, it lands on your bosses foot, you gets pissed at you and starts building a list of reasons to fire you.

Now you move to your 2nd company doing this. Instead of shite shoveler, you start as assistant shite shoverler. Same rule is there. Do you think after a few years, the owner of the company says he us hiring a new supervisor and you're in the running. Should everyone go back and look at your record and say "well the first time he was a shite shoverler, he tossed shite on his bosses boot. Do you feel it's fair that they judge your whole career based off of that one instance?

Honestly, nothing really. But with the way he's turned the defense into a strength of this team, he's earned his shot at redemption.

Also, in the one game where he acted as head coach last year, our offense sputtered and never made it into the end zone.

I mean that speaks more of the offense than it does his coaching. Our offense was the definition of horrible last year with an injured o-line, multiple QBs, and a #3 receiver as the starter.

He’s basically Ed Orgeron 2.0, except without a miraculous championship run.

If he wins us a Super Bowl and then flames out, I'll be over-joyed

Not even remotely the same talent levels on each roster

Yea, that wasnt just this game. In case you havent noticed the offense was terrible overall when Jameis went down. It was at least viable with him there but you wont acknowledge that.

If you want to be a miserable frick than so be it. This is a talented team that won 9 games with 4 starting QBs. Team will be fine.

Anyone that will use the Raiders as a knock against him is crazy. When you factor the talent that has went through there the last 20 years they maybe the worst organization in the NFL.

Rich Gannon and Tim brown are the main reasons gruden had some success there

My point was the Raiders haven't been totally void of talent. But have failed under ever coach. That is why I give Allen a pass for his time with them.

I think about his tenure at Oakland. He was awful there. Back to Saints, Carmichael had a great offense during bounty gate. Offense put up some great numbers. This off-season Saints place more weapons around Winston. Carmichael can run offense like he should. Defense plays very well under Allen. I think Saints should have great year.

So was Mike Shananhan and he went on to win 2 SB

Refresh my memory, how many times did the other team make it in to the end zone or over the goal post?

There’s no sure things, he’s been a great DC, hopefully he can transform into to a good HC

Also, you can’t hope to win many games by only scoring 9 points on 3 field goals.

But he won that one, now, didn't he?

How many points did Tampa score?

Didn't they have one of the top offenses in the league with the greatest qb of all time?

I do get some of the dennis allen needs to prove it take but he isn't going to be very involved in the offense.

Why did he play QB at BYU then?

1. Cause he was the most athletic and wanted the ball in his hands every play.
2. Its College football
3. It’s BYU
4. His running from the QB spot with half way decent throwing made more sense for them to win.

None of these mean he was a QB. It just meant that BYU didn’t have a lights out QB that could throw the ball well enough that it made sense to start them over TH.

Listen to what you are saying. With the raiders. When is the last time they were successful? Same could be said for the cowboys
