I believe he played 3 years with the Saints on the "O" line. I have not heard any news of him as of lately.

Anyone know what's up?
thanks

He wasn’t very good, and is no longer with the team.

He had a connection to the Bensons and that’s why he ended up on the team.

He was the worst o lineman in the entire nfl for 3 seasons.

And now he is thankfully gone.

Signed with the L A Chargers . Competing for a roster spot.

Edit. Chargers not Rams.

Look maybe he wasn’t. But when I watched him, I struggled to find a rep that he won.

I think he’s a good guy. High character. But he wasn’t that good. The book on him at LSU was that he was good against teams like Mcneese State and he got his shite pushed in against SEC opponents.

And that’s about what happened on the NFL field as well. He could play some preseason ball, or come in as an extra blocker, but other than that, he was getting pancaked left and right. We generally protected him and didn’t make him play. The games he played a lot, we lost.

2016 SEC Academic Honor Roll
2016 First Team All-SEC
2017 First Team All-SEC
2017 Remington Trophy Finalist (Nation's Top Center)
2015 Freshmen All_ American
So he got his shite pushed in against SEC opponents?

TF? He didn't play because he was end of the bench depth, that's it... There's no conspiracy.

The Saints may be better off without him, but hes still a former Tiger and I still hope he hangs around the league to get a paycheck from the Chargers

WTF????? I'm not a Will Clapp fanboy, but he was a 3 year starter at LSU. If he was getting his shite pushed in against SEC opponents, guess what he would not have been at LSU?

A starter.

No one said Clapp was a bonafide starter or even a good backup but for being a 7th rd. pick and hanging on a roster with an O-line probably as good as any in the league for 3 years and still able to compete for a spot on another team says something.

And now he is with the Chargers.....who's Oline coach is.........Brenden Nugent. And who is he? Only the Saints' Oline coach last year and oline assistant for several years prior to that.

So

In your infinite wisdom, the new Chargers Oline coach thinks enough of him to sign him up.... a guy who he has coached for several years who you say is the worst Offensive lineman in the NFL.

Good guys get extra chances in the league, especially for teams just looking for 3rd stringers that are high character guys, that won’t make a stink over not playing.

The film doesn’t lie. I stand by all of my previous statements.

To the guy listing all the accolades. Grant Delpit won the Thorpe Award for the entire nation in a season where he did not play very well.

Andrus peat has been a multiple time pro bowler.

Herb Jones didn’t make an NBA all defensive team this season.

When you have writers voting on things, some of these awards can be taken with a grain of salt.

If Clapp was really tearing up the SEC like those awards suggest, he would’ve been a day 1 or 2 pick. But the film against real teams, does not lie and his athletic profile was and still is subpar as well.
