Mike Iupati. This offense and team lives and dies with the OL. We need help badly at the guard/center positions

Iupati would be great. Draft La'el and drop both current overpaid guards we have and then get reese dismukes in the 3rd. OL would be set.

Houston across from Gallette makes your secondady better by pass rush alone.

I want him the most but the Chiefs will probably tag him but that doesn't mean they wouldn't listen to a trade offer. They won't give him a deal he likes so it's likely he will be tagged and traded or they let him walk in another year.

Houston.

We should have drafted his arse to begin with.

I'm still pissed that we didn't. We took Tez Wilson 2 picks later

CB is our only glaring hole before cuts, but we do have bodies there.

So anything "wow" we get will need to be an upgrade and likely mean that someone at that spot is gone.

If Evans is cut I can definitely see us going after Iupati. Not sure what LBs are out there is Hawthorne gets cut.

If Hawthorne gets cut the only solution I can see is McKinney in the draft. He will be there even if we trade back in the draft to around 20.

hope they take a look at KJ Wright from Seattle.

I think he should be affordable and we need help at LB.

It would be foolish to address secondary without first addressing pass rush. No way a secondary can cover everyone if the QB consistently has 4-5+ seconds.

KJ is a FA? Restricted or no? It would be awesome if we could get a guy like him.

You have that arse backwards. There can be no pass rush if the QB is allowed to throw quick passes all day, and that's exactly what happened.

Where the lined got killed was allowing QBs to break contain, but they did so while getting to the QB in the first place.

Play your CBs closer to the line to take away the quick play. Oh wait you can't because then you risk giving up the long ball because you have no pass rush to eliminate the long ball.

Everyone knows you build a defense at the line to stop the run and get a pass rush. If you can't do those things nothing else matters. We suck at both, hence we're last in the league I total D. Thats not because our CBs suck.

Pressure causes errant throws, tipped balls, and interceptions. Fix the front 7 so you can get pressure without blitzing and it will help the secondary tremendously.

It is because our CBs outside of Lewis sucked. And we never had a steady FS and Vaccaro failed at SS. And guys were obviously never on the same page in the secondary.

If you consistently blow coverages you aren't going to have time to get sacks.

I will give you that having a better cover LB in the middle would have helped tremendously as that's where most of the quick passes went.

But it is NOT the Dline. They were getting pressure. They never had enough time to finish the job.

You're describing a coverage sack. I can tell it's been a while since you've seen a defense that can generate pressure consistently. Understandable as a Saints fan.
