Scouting reports vary. I saw one that said he's rarely caught out of position.

Being a former HS and college player myself I watched the kid at the combine, on TV of course. Hip movements were real stiff in backpedals which def indicates that he is not good in coverage. He will be a work in progress.

And thank you.

Why aren't you the head of a scouting department?

I just don't get the mentality of being completely unhappy about the draft. We could have picked the next great safety, but you shite all over it and try to go out of your way to tear this pick down because you're so upset we didn't get the guy you wanted?

We needed a safety. We were calling for replacements for Jenkins and Harper all season, and we got one, the best safety in the draft. Not a converted corner, but an athletic, hard hitting safety who might just give us a presence when teams dare to throw deep.

Just mellow out and enjoy the draft. shite.

No. This kid is definitely a play maker.

2 INTs and 2 PD for the season in a league where they throw 100 times a game.

Of course they do. Tharold Simon as well, I'm sure

Nearly every report on this guy said his fluid hips and coverage skills are some of his greatest strengths.

He might be. Dude played high school football. He knows his shite. I bet he really played in college too. Probably for a badass intramural team.

I had my self created madden player make the probowl every year as a safety. His hip fluidity was a 97 rating.

My opinion is valid.

Q: How do you weigh his lack of interceptions this past season?

A: “Well so much of it was down low. He’s got great ball skills. But when you’re taking a player that’s playing zone defense on the back end with eyes to the quarterback, I think you have high production in that area. I think when you bring a player, on tape you see him playing the nickel, a lot of his snaps are eyes in back away from the quarterback because of what he’s being asked to do. He’s carrying the West Virginia receiver (Tavon Austin) across the slot effectively. That’s not uncommon when you’re playing that nickel.”

They already know

Very loose hips and good overall change-of-direction ability. Locks onto slot receivers at the line and has the agility and straight-game speed to stay with them on out routes and downfield

So now he didn't make plays this past year because he was the nickelback and not SS - where he was drafted to play. Effective argument, except Tyrann pretty much did the same thing as the nickelback but made plays.

Look, Payton likes the kid, awesome. He's the coach but lets not forget the record with defensive picks.

One-speed player who lacks burst. Is not quite agile or fast enough to stick with better NFL receivers, backpedal is high and stiff, can be out-quicked in space, and loses a step running down the seam.

So he has great hips but bad backpedal.

But now loses a step running down the seem but has the speed to stay with them on routes down the field.

Their whole report is an oxymoron apparently.

Or maybe QB's didn't throw his way a whole lot because he had good coverage?
