I'm a troll because I think there were better value picks on the board?

Yasinkas' thoughts, which I agree with:

quote:

New Orleans Saints: They took safety Kenny Vaccaro. There’s no doubt the New Orleans secondary needed help. Vaccaro should be an impact player. I have no real problem with the pick, but I have to wonder why the Saints, who put a terrible defense on the field last season, went with a safety. Good defense starts with the front seven and I have to wonder if the Saints would have been better off going with a pass-rusher. Grade: B.

No, I thought so as well. You're a troll because when faced with a legit argument you resort to hyperbole and knocking over strawmen.

What legit argument is there. You have one argument backed by his opinion and scouting reports. I have my argument backed by X scouting reports.

People want to differ on the interpretation when all they do is contradict each other.

If any of us knew what we were talking about, we'd be in NOLA getting paid and not sitting here arguing on Saints Talk in the middle of the day.

I think there were better value picks and I don't think he made quite the impact people are saying. I think he's a decent player that played on a bad defense. He'll fit right in with our group.

yeah, def agree with that. Vaccaro may good in time, but jarvis Jones should have been the pick. A good pass rush always makes life easier in the secondary. And this draft is safety deep as said on ESPN, they def jumped the gun on this pick.

I wanted Jones as well, but I'm a little perplexed about people thinking we don't have a pass rush. By all accounts, rushing the passer is the one thing Bulter, Wilson and Galette can do. It's the other things, setting the edge, dropping into coverage that I'm worried about.

This X's a million

We would rush the passer and the QB would just lob the ball up, where Roman Harper would fall down and Jenkins would wait for the WR to catch the ball, score a TD, make the tackle, and then talk shite.

Jarvis has a huge medical flag and he looks like he's going to be a fat frick in about a day and a half. His conditioning appears to be lacking and he's slower than fricking Roman Harper. He's a one dimensional pass rusher who got abused in the run game. I'm so sick and fricking tired of hearing about Jarvis Pussy Fat Jones.
This guy gets it.

Did I just say that about Chad?

But seriously had Mingo fallen I think they take him. I see him being a special player. I think Jones will have an average career at best. Maybe a 6-9 sack a year guy who has to come out on run downs.

That's what they are suppose to do, we just having seen enough of those to 3 to warrant saying "that's it we got our pass rush" and no I'm not saying that Jones is proven I'm just saying without any proven guys at OLB why not take a chance on who many feel is the best one in the draft.

JJ now sucks donkey balz and Vacarro is future all-pro.

Slowly removes Saints glasses.

Not many think he is the best pass rusher in the draft.

That's the way things work. The Steelers is where defenders go when their career dies apparently

I will say you have a good chance to find a Jones clone later in the draft.

I was more upset they didn't make a move for a DL. I'm not even talking Floyd. I think Star and Richardson will help anchor their lines for the next 8 years.

He's definitely the most proven at the college

If I could swap Vaccaro for Jones right now I would FWIW. I just have to accept that the Saints had Vaccaro rated higher and have some plan for the defense.
