You were. You even said Vaccaro hasn't played safety since his freshmen year and gets beat over the top a lot, completely out of your arse.

That's not all you were doing

he won't be a pro bowl player though and that's what you need to expect at 15.

Which has been more productive the past 5 years, the top safety taken or the 4th pass rusher taken?

From JD at nola .com

quote:

Saints coach Sean Payton said the club had a very clear vision for Vaccaro in their defensive game plan. I would imagine that vision involves Tony Gonzalez, Vernon Davis and the other tight ends the Saints will defend this season

Rob Rang compares his skill set to that of Eric Weddle of the chargers.

He's refuting an opinion with an opinion. What you want me to say. It's all over but the name calling.

Apparently. Seriously though, you and Jim have beat this to a pulp. You don't have to like it, but you have to support it. If you are a fan of the Saints, wish the kid good luck, hope for the best and drop this nonsense.

Saying he will never make a probowl is a ridiculous comment the day after he was drafted. I'd hardly call that an opinion. More like an overreaction bc the Saints didn't draft who you wanted.

You're right.

It's just been a while since the last time I played devils advocate with the trolls. I needed my fix.

You still are heartbroken from the chip vaughn days. Hopefully vaccaro can fill that emptiness inside you. I like the pick. I'm excited to see what he can do in this defense.

I'm pretty happy with the pick. I know LB wasn't necessarily a huge need, but passing up on Jarvis Jones was tough to see. He is just a playmaker. That's why the Front Office gets paid to make these tough decisions. I'm happy with the pick.
