Not to mention Cleveland can offer a much better package.

Not a factor. Don’t know why this would be mentioned. Watson does not care what the Texans get in return.

That's all true, but we are still comparing ourselves to the Browns and Panthers.

Our coaching situation is fairly stable in comparison to these teams.

Lol this keeps getting brought up so let’s go ahead and squash it. Watson is fielding multiple teams for a reason. This isn’t the Russ situation. Watson is letting the Texans know which teams he would waive the no trade clause for.

He’s saying he’s cool with Cleveland, NOLA or Carolina. And whoever sends the best package will be where he goes.

Vs the NFC with:

Brady
Rodgers

Also the Saints dominated those bums lol. He could be here and we would legit be one of the few Super Bowl favorites from the NFC!

Texans will ask for significantly more from the Browns than they would other teams because AFC.

But adding Mayfield may be a big enough sweetener for them.

he'd have to face Burrow and Lamar twice every year just to win his division. The Saints have the easiest path to the post season of the three, IMO.

When is the last time the Saints won a recruiting battle?

Suh, OBJ, Josh Norman, Clowney.

Was thinking this last night. I cannot think of a time when we did not lose out when we thought we were the "favorite."

Think you are missing a point. Every source out of Houston has stated that Hou has agreed to NO & Car offers in principal. Have not heard anything about Clev offer, but the fact that they have agreed to the visit implies to me that Hou has also agreed in principal. From there, Watson will say he wants to go to team X. I doubt he will say I want to go to X, but since you threw me under the bus and I hate it here if Team Y or Z gives you a better offer I'll go there.

If memory serves me correctly Norman & Clowney were pure money grabs. OBJ was a legit gut feeling, and Winston was done for the year. I don't recall what the tipping point was w Suh, that may have been a true loss.

FYI, Saints won the Norman recruiting battle

Regardless of the reason, we lost out. We do not have a great track record when competing for high profile players.

#Browns meeting with Deshaun Watson strikes me as a sort of point of no return with Baker Mayfield. I’m not sure that the Browns brass does that unless they have a *really* good idea that they can land Watson.

It is, which is even stranger because it’s neither funny or entertaining. Just some guy rambling on about colors
