In all seriousness. Ram looks to be a steal where we got him in the first. With our starting line intact we have one of the best in the league. Brees had clean pockets most of the day which is why it's odd he struggled. But like anything sometimes you have off days. Fortunately Drew's strengths has always been his accuracy and his ability to read Defenses, and that doesn't regress as much as arm strength with age. Our young defense is maturing quickly which makes this year and future ones look bright. The Heir to QB needs to become a priority quickly though.

Wow, that is incredible. I gotta start paying more attention during games to what the Oline is doing. With Peat and a healthy Armstead the Saints have got to have the quickest, most athletic left side in the league.

I think Amrstead being out was huge. Now Peat can go back mauling people. We are strong up the middle.

Another oddity with Brees struggling: at one point in the second half (I think) he was right at 80% completions. It really wasn't a game-long struggle, it was really just the second half and maybe not even all of it (haven't looked at precise stats; I am going off final stats and what I remember from the Dome). But he was dropping dimes early and really didn't late. Do note, though, that we had some odd, quick ends to drives that hurt Brees' ability to keep things going statistically. Ingram fumbles on a completion; Brees throws a pick that was looked a lot like a completion. Either way, the throw was good and was in Thomas' hands all the way to the ground. The Robinson pick is something you almost never see, a DL CATCHING the ball cleanly. Those balls are generally just tipped. Brees did, on the whole have a down day for him, but he did it in weird way and while completing 2/3 of his passes and not really putting the ball in harm's way down the field.
