So Carr looked like dogshit all year with Jacobs in the backfield gashing teams for 5 yards a carry and throwing to Davante fricking Adams, but yeah he’s in black and gold last year with a struggling Kamara and Chris Olave and he’s a much better player. Riiiiiiiiiiiight:

We have some really moronic posters here lol

So less than a handful of games is a great sample size, good job. I love the insults too, shows some real intelligence.

So you think Carr does better in NOLA last year with Dennis Allen, Alvin Kamara, and Chris Olave than he did in LV with Josh McDaniels, Josh Jacobs, and Davante Adams?

You are so lost. Carr is trash, and I’ll be dancing on you in this thread come December.

We a playoff team last year with Carr… this team not as far off as some of you think…

This was the Moscona/Tbob argurment on their podcast.

Do we want to be a playoff team or a title contender. A mid QB can help you win the division/wild card and lose in the playoffs every year. Is that what we want? Or do we want a franchise QB (tanking)?

So, just to get you on record, you think Dennis Allen is better than Josh McDaniels, Alvin Kamara was better than Josh Jacobs last year, and that Chris Olave was better than Davante Adams last year?

Holy shite.

Yea because when comparing teams you only have to look at 2-3 players to make a judgment. Lol. I feel like you’re trolling because nobody can he this ignorant.

Dennis Allen isn’t great but mcdaniels is absolutely horrible. And I think our overall staff is way better than LVs.

Better defense.

Better organization overall

This isn’t hard.

I don't think it's far fetched to believe that the Saints make the playoffs last year if Carr was the starter.

Jesus Christ.

I've been engaging with someone mentally ill. I saw the signs. Should've figured it out sooner.

Or, they realize that you need to look past just the top 2 players on an offense to be able to judge a QBs effectiveness.

Sure Jacobs was better than AK last year, and Adams is better than Olave every year. But, where do you rank Carr's #2 weapon last year, Mack Hollins, v Dalton's #2 guy Juwan Johnson? Renfrow & Waller both missed 1/2 the year, with 4-5 games where he was down both.

Also, as great as Adams is, why was his catch rate barely over 50%? Asking because I don't know, but that is a huge margin to just be a QB issue. Were they constantly forcing him the ball in double/triple coverage? Took awhile to get on the same page? Getting hung out to dry too much (I ask, but never heard of Carr having this rep)

You must lead a very happy life to be this negative and shitty. Nothing but hate is all I ever see from you on these boards. But hey, you know more than people employed by the NFL. You should definitely consider a career change.

There are maybe 5 active starting quarterbacks capable of winning a Super Bowl. The other 27 franchises are just trying to keep their heads above water until the next generational talent presents themselves. That’s just where the NFL is at these days

It’s not at all. For some reason this dude is ignoring the coaching staffs and about 95% of the rest of each team. Lol

Guys don’t worry Carr won’t have to deal with bad coaching and play calling with the saints

Funny b/c at the beginning of the year when I said the red rocket should be starting and I was told over and over how bad he was by this board and that he was a washed up journeyman, and an injured Winston was better with one arm, he goes turn in one of his better years in his career.

So was that b/c of coaching or just our great weapons, you know two rookie receivers and our converted qb and college receiver playing te?

Funny that I was right there with you saying the same thing.

We played within Daltons ability and allowed him to just manage the offense and not put the team on his back. it mostly worked.

And here I am….still saying we should stick with Dalton because he would cost close to a 1/3rd of Carr and would likely have similar results.

You are correct, there was about three of us in the beginning. I also agree that we should have just went back to Dalton if he’d take a contact for under ten a year, or someone like Teddy B for cheap. But that’s mostly so we can get rid of Allen. That was my original plan.

I kinda don’t care now because Carr is an upgrade and the front office will just blow the cap space on some stupid over the hill vet fa like they’ve done the past few years so it doesn’t matter.

He might be an upgrade but it won’t be seen week 1. He will take time to develop chemistry just like every other new to a program QB. So that means it’s likely year 2 before we see what his potential really is with us. Daltons already been through that.

In the meantime….we could have either used that money elsewhere or kept it and tried to get out of the Cap hell we’ve been in like most of the league.

This move, to me, screams “I just want to go back to the playoffs”. That shouldn’t be where we’re aiming. I want to build a Super Bowl team again and to do that we’re soon going to need to replace a lot of talent.

You don't think the saints worked that out when he visited. Why wouldn't they just work a deal while he's there, tell him to stay put, throw up some smoke and mirrors(jets), and sign later? Why would a qb want to hinder the next team he's going to by getting them to give up draft capital that could be used for a playmaker? You have to play chess not checkers.
