Updated Mock Draft from NFLdraftscout.com - Saints at #10

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
2. Tennessee Titans - Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska
4. New York Jets - Shane Ray, DE/OLB, Missouri
5. Oakland Raiders - Leonard Williams, DT, Southern Cal
6. Washington Redskins -- Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa
7. Chicago Bears - Landon Collins, S, Alabama
8. Atlanta Falcons - Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson
9. Minnesota Vikings - Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
10. New Orleans Saints - Dante Fowler, DE/OLB, Florida: With Junior Galette (nine sacks) and Cameron Jordan (six) recording nearly half of New Orleans' 31 sacks through 15 regular season games, the Saints are among the more predictable defenses in the league. That's counter to defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's philosophies. Fowler's versatility is his calling card. The 6-3, 260 pounder's unique combination of power, agility and tenacity earns him time at defensive end, linebacker and defensive tackle for the Gators.
I guess I'll say I'm not happy about being at #10, because it looks like yet again we will be right on the outside of getting a true difference maker and instead will have to get the 3rd best DE/OLB option, which sucks. However, players always fall and someone will get taken in the top 10 that has no business going that high.
My dream players that fall to #10:
1. Shane Ray
2. Amari Cooper
3. Brandon Scherff
4. Leonard Williams

If Cooper is there when we pick, we HAVE to pick him.

Agreed. Colston is gone and toon is crap. All we have is stills and cooks. If we do manage to grab Amari though then we have to go after o lineman tenaciously. We can't do BPA after the first round unless Payton can get our lineman through trades or FA.

I'm not going to go that far. If any thing, he has been pretty solid in the games he's played in and it's more than enough for him to build on for next year.
But I totally agree that we need a legit #1 to go with our 3 solid young receivers in Cooks, Stills, and Toon.

As much as i want DL/OLB, i wouldnt be mad at Cooper. Provided he pans out of course. dont want to see another Meachem.

All in for Leonard Williams.

No just no. We have far more dire needs than a WR. We can find a decent WR in later rounds.

god, I would be so pissed if Cooper was scooped up at #9.

Brandon Scherff is a far greater need.

I'll be honest...I'd be surprised if we drafted a WR at all in this draft(assuming that we restructure Colston's contract) We would have him, Cooks, Stills, and Toon. Also Jalen Saunders, Seantavius Jones and Brandon Coleman. If Colston does leave...I wouldn't mind drafting a WR in the mid rounds
We just need so much help on the OL, DL, LB, and another CB. I don't see WR as a position of need during this offseason.

An Elite WR would completely change this offense. Most of our needs will almost assuredly be addressed in FA.

honestly after this all i heard was BLAHB ITTY BLAH BLAH
not saying we need to use a 1 but we could use upgrades here!

I put wr over dl and linebacker. We have one of the 3 worst receiver groups in the league. I will say wr is 3rd on my list after OL and corner. We need to get back to having a feared offense.

We could certainly use better depth...if any of our top 3 go down(Colston, Cooks, or Stills) WR becomes a major area of need. I am not for using a 1st there...but not oppose to using any of the later round picks or a FA pickup.
Top 10 pick though...I would love a dominant front 7 franchise player for the D. Paired with Galette, Jordan, another premiere player could make a huge jump for the defense.
Leonard Williams or Shane Ray would be nice IMO. Bonethug don't start lol.
