Hmm in a thread where the commish of the NFL blatantly targets the Saints organization once again...we have posters defending his overall stance
Interesting times
I like any football fan want the draft to happen but if my GM says it isnt in our teams best interest based on the current landscape
Vs the commish of the NFL, the biggest POS who has tainted our first SB in the eyes of the general public, crucified my organization with penalties and suspensions unmatched by other team infractions of similar or worse nature, and probably called for the swallowed whistle in the NFCCG...
That guy can catch a bullet, get brutally raped like the guy in Pulp Fiction, chewed on a dog like the runaway in Django or die a thousand other Tarantino deaths
You have outlined everything this POS has done to the Saints organization.
He has suppressed who the true GOAT QB really is and has forever maligned one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.

I fricking hate Goodell.
That stance will never change even in this time of uncertainty.

For once I agree with Goodell.
Every team will be on an even playing field as regards scouting/interviews. The draft should continue at its scheduled time with all parties working remotely.

They had a committee that was asked a question. The committee came back with an answer and some, Loomis, publicly stated their reasons why.
I don’t see anything wrong with them saying they would rather postpone the draft. It isn’t directly over the Rona craze. It is indirectly over the Rona crazy. Understandable and nothing wrong with them answering the question presented.
I have an issue with Goodell trying to silence any public difference of opinion than his own. Sounds similar to people that say they want to “have a conversation” about social issues, but never want to listen to any opposing points of view.

He wants the draft to continue and does not want the twitterverse screaming about postponing it.

Why TF would twitter blow up? They are going to do it remotely. The GMs wanted more time to get their player evaluations done/more complete. Many feel less prepared than usual which is understandable.
Again they were asked their preference and gave an answer with their reasons. There is nothing wrong with what they said.

They will all be on an even playing field.

The NFL does not want any draft postponement talk getting any steam. I understand their stance. The Saints/Loomis were not punished, the NFL just said don't add any wood to the fire.

Goodell's a fricking a-hole.
The entire country is in turmoil, you have a few teams (such as the Saints) in cities basically under lockdown curfew.
Draft day doesn't affect the upcoming season, as long as it's before minicamps.
Suggesting things get delayed awhile, until people can get a better handle on things, ... is grounds for disciplinary action? WTF is that?
I love football, but damn, I hate what Goodell is doing to the NFL.

No one said or indicated that they wouldn’t be. They simply said they would prefer to have more time because they don’t feel as prepared during this draft as they have in previous years (obviously). Goodell said no. It is what it is.

There will be disciplinary action if discussed? What the shite. ??

I'm not a fan of delaying the draft, but if it really pisses off Goodell I'm for it. The man is a gigantic asshat.

Roger sounding more like a commissar, than a commissioner, with his threats to silence opposing viewpoints. Glad he isn't moderating this board. "Hey, Roger, Go-o d'ell!" (Copyright 2020)

Loomis needs to shut up, and prepare the best he can for the draft just like 100% of the other teams. Mickey must not be reading the papers that the entire world is having to struggle to survive- much more than picking players where they have a lot of film.

Goodell is a F-Ing tyrant who tries to screw the Saints organization as much as possible. One day when Sean is retired, I hope a lot of this shite with Roger is exposed.
RG is a giant prick.
