I am not wearing hindsight glasses. The skepticism of Shough was entirely justified. The love and unquestioning belief that Shedeur would be a better qb than him by some of the fanbase is what I am talking about.

Shough has played one full college season completely healthy. Hopefully he bucks that trend and can stay healthy throughout next season.

You quoted me the other day saying how Louis Riddick was super high on Shough and I linked you an interview after the drafts first day with him going off on the teams that passed on Shedeur in the first. He had him ranked higher than Shough.

I didn’t see that, where is it?

Either way here he is today saying the age and injuries don’t matter

He also mentioned before the draft he heard of that respected evaluator saying he’s the best in the class

Shough played 7 years of college football an in only 1 did have even remotely decent production (he was the 4th or 5th rated passer...in the ACC).
Thought that looked familiar.

Shough was 5th in the ACC in pass yards and pass TDs, 10th in comp% in the ACC, 6th in QB rating in the ACC.

quote:

What a bullshite comment without actually analyzing the stats. The top (3) QB's had on average 143 more attempts than Shough last year.

H2H vs Cam Ward:

Shough: 31-51/ 342 yds/ 4TD
#1 pick: 21-32/ 319/ 4TD

Miami and SMU had the easiest schedules in the ACC. Clemson was ahead of Louisville in strength of schedule but lost to them. If Louisville doesn't blow the game vs Stanford they replace Clemson and possibly beat SMU. They were ranked 16th and that win would have easily gotten them close to top 10 and a win vs SMU would have gotten them a bye.

Syracuse didn't play Clemson, SMU, or Louiville.

Miami didn't play Clemson or SMU.

Clemson didn't play SMU, Miami, or Syracuse. (Played Georgia and scored 3pts)

Louisville didn't play Syracuse but played all (3) top teams of Miami, Clemson, and SMU. They also played Notre Dame.

The average score differential between Louisville and those (4) teams was -2.25pts

The 2 best defenses in the conference were Clemson/ SMU and none of those other QB's even had to play them.

Shough was (1) drive away from a good chance at the CFP and a win vs SMU away from atleast top 6.

Louisville is 1-8 vs Clemson since 2014 and Shough was the QB for the 1 win.

The dude was 1-2 field goals/ drives away from taking fricking Louisville to the CFP in the 1 year he was healthy and y'all want to talk shite like he was some atrocious QB throughout college while playing 12 games every year.

I've been the biggest Shough and Vele defender since day 1. I'll keep receipts on that.

I don’t think anyone would say Sam Darnold dominated in college

Maybe not dominated in a Burrow type way, but he’s the only player to win the Archie Griffin award as a freshman. Was 1st team PAC 12, and holds a bunch of USC and Rose Bowl passing records. I mean USC is or was a blue blood program with plenty of good qbs that have passed through over the years.

Here you go. He said him and Cam Ward are neck and neck as the best QBs in the draft.

5 The Archie Griffin Award, presented annually to the college football player of the year by the Touchdown Club of Columbus, recognizes top performers demonstrating exceptional skill and leadership. Notable winners include Michael Vick, Matt Leinart, and Reggie Bush.

Burrow won it his magical year at LSU. Just another post season award similar to the Heisman but it includes bowl game performances.
