I was at game one as a 9 year old. I am now the owner of that season ticket account and my name is on the glass wall outside the Superdome honoring the original season ticket holders.

I got those beer backpack pictures off of Ebay. I'm pretty sure that was the same backpack I found in a French Quarter shop on sale for $65.

My wife and mother had been nagging me about spending money on old flea market stuff, so I didn't pull the trigger. It eventually sold for $600 after the auction ended on Ebay.

I went to Super Bowls IV and VI. We got the tickets because, back then, the host team's fans got priority because the NFL wanted to insure a full stadium.

I think the Super Bowl IV tickets were $15, twice the Saints game price.

The games had great halftime shows back then - hot air balloons, jet backpack guys, ostrich races, cannons firing (blew one guys hand off), Al Hirt

I was at the game where the guy got his hand blown off. I believe it was the Rams.

We had season tickets around the 30 on the visitor's side, underneath the upper deck. I remember us having to cover our drinks when the fans started stomping their feet because of all the rust raining down.

I was 7 years old and saw them play the Steelers (who were the NFL's worst team back then) and win! I still have fond memories walking to the stadium. It was electric.
I went to school with TE Dave Parks' daughter and backup QB Ed Hargett's wife was a teacher of mine.
I can say nobody has been a Saints fan longer than me!

I went to a preseason game vs the Jets a year or two after the Jets won the Super Bowl. I was 9 I think.

As did I. Think Joe Willie played two downs and draped his head with a towel for the remainder of the game

A lot of great moments for me in that stadium. Gilliam’s KO return and Dempsey’s 63 yard FG are priceless memories I’ll never forget.

As far as the stadium experience, we were primarily end zone & always liked the North for some reason. The Dixie Beer keg vendors in the South EZ dressed in white were classic.

I used to get "Gridweek" magazine back in those days. Picked them up at the TimeSaver store!

The brands of beer were rotated every game. Dixie, Falstaff and I think Jax. One had the 2 endzones. The others had the East and West sides. But they would rotate each week.

Maybe for SB VI, but for IV, they were $15.

Lot of great memories despite the Monday Blues, week after week after week ?? Archie’s first game against the Rams, the Dempsey kick, Gilliam’s kick return in the very first game, etc. First date was in Tulane stadium when I was 12 ?? Add in many LSU-Tulane games, LSU-Syracuse Sugar Bowl & many more, Super Bowls, especially the one when Stram & KC beat up the Vikings (damn it was cold). And certainly cannot leave out the Dixie beer man !

Unfortunately, have reached the stage in my journey when I have probably forgotten most of the great times ?? Still nothing like an outdoor game in the fall.
