Lattimore is effing great but he’s a luxury that we can’t afford and is one of few assets that help our cap and can return great draft capital.

I agree - is a move that prime Belichik or Guetz in GB would make if the cap hit isn't too bbad.

I love Latt but it just seems like a change of scenery might be good for him and we need a pick or two and cap relief.

Let’s trade our good players!

It’s not a terrible idea. I love him on the team, but there isn’t really any hope for winning here during his prime. I could see a team with a low first round pick making that trade to get them over the top.

If you ever hope to be good again you want players like Lattimore on your team. You don’t let a top 5 player at his position leave.

Yes you do. It takes value to get capital back. We aren’t winning shite next 2 years.

That’s the thing though. They aren’t gonna be good for a few years.

I’d hate to see him go, but Taylor and Adebo are still a better duo than most teams can claim. And they’re way younger.

Cutting salary over the next few years seems like a wise decision. I’m all for a youth movement on this team.

Then spend the next 5 years trying to replace them.

If this roster only has 2-3 good players as this board claims, then why do they want Allen gone? How could anyone win with this roster?

Or is the roster good and Allen is the problem?

Untradeable, it would bump his cap hit from $25.6M to $31.3M. Loomising

He only has a couple of years left of elite play, but his contract/cap hit is the big issue. That's the problem with thinking we have any assets to trade, generally.

Yeah, uhhhh, Lattimore can’t be traded. Loomis is going to restructure him, kicking the can down the street even further. He’ll be here for a long time. The Saints have no hope of getting out of the hell they’re in as long as Loomis is calling the shots.

Saves a shite ton in 2025 and also the cap hit for us makes him that much more valuable to someone else. Contract can probably be redone
