This. He reads the defense and lets the audience know what the defense is doing and what the qb is reading

I didn't like Tony romo as a player I'll have to admit. Mainly bc of that disgrace of a team he played for, but I think he's a jam up announcer. He is very knowledgeable of the game and you can feel genuine, seemingly unbiased enthusiasm in his voice.

Nance is a polished professional but he's not particularly entertaining. I wish he'd show more passion. I want a Romo analogue for PbP.

I appreciate the mental aspect to sports. I really like how tony spots the coverage from a QB perspective and damn near knows where the balls is going before it is thrown. Loved him drawing routes before the play.
