Didn't care either way. I want a pass rusher. It's people acting like an edge rusher isn't good unless he's good against the run as well. There are hall of fame pass rushers that didn't excel at stopping the run. So to answer your question, I don't care about him stopping the run as long as he affects the QB, I do care about dumbasses using that crap to take away accomplishments.

He's a 3rd down rush specialist being paid like a 3 down DE. He's a liability on 1st and 2nd down. You said prove my statement so I did. Nobody is trying to "take away his accomplishments".

It would be one thing if he was just below average, but he's so bad against the run it makes you wonder if he's even trying.

Of the top 30 qualified edge defenders this year there are only 2 with run D grades below 60. Justin Houston is 59 and Hendrickson is 41.

I understand the emphasis on pass rushing but one of the biggest reasons the Saints even won 9 games this year is because they stopped the run consistently. They also weren't hurting in pass rush department either.

They let Hendrickson go because of Davenport, but I don't agree with the Cam comment. Cam is a Saints HOF that if he breaks Jackson's record is an NFL HOF. Davenport has the potential to be a 15,16 sack artist a season himself if he can stay healthy. But him and OT Armstead are 2 guys that leave me scratching my head every season because they're huge guys that get hurt rather easily. Lol
