1 regular season home game in actually makes even less sense since they would be refunding more money.

I'll do the same thing I did with LSU during the end of the Miles Era.
Not selling my tickets.
Not cancelling them.
Just not going.
So there will be 4 empty seats at every Saints Home game this year.
I gave up the NFL a few years back. Kept getting my tickets,though. Had been selling them or giving them to F&F the last 3 years.
I think I will just sit on them this year. Since I already refuse to watch what the NFL has become, this is the best protest I can come up with. . .
Not selling my tickets.
Not cancelling them.
Just not going.

One small problem with your summation. It cannot be simplified that easy...Group 1 works for the Saints who the tax payers give tax dollars to. Group 1 wears a work uniform that says New Orleans Saints. Group 1's personal opinions and disrespectful behavior while on the job will not be tolerated by the majority of the taxpayers. We are not singing the national anthem to Trump or paying respect to the Trump flag. It is not Group 1's right to express their opinion on the clock let alone during their nations anthem is being recognized. There is something fundamentally wrong with anyone that does understand this. I could care less what they protest, just not representing New Orleans during the Anthem.

What's crazy to me is that it took 3 games for the initial protest to even get noticed. The attention was fading more and more every week. It was essentially a non-issue for 99% of the league.

Why would a Saints account rep call an advertiser and tell them that? If it is true, which it isn't, he should be immediately fired.

a rep called our family member in Nola before the ticket deadline asking them if they wanted to renew. They said no because they were 5 rows from the top of the Dome.
They immediately moved them down 25 rows to the 5th row in the uppers.
Sounds like no more waiting list to me.

Current season ticket holders have always had first access to newly available tickets ahead of the waiting list.

My father had dinner with a group of people last night and one man, who pays out of the wazoo for tickets (50 yard line, lower bowl sort of seats), called the ticket office yesterday and cancelled the six seats he owns. He said the ticket rep really tried to talk him out of it. Also said the rep told him all the calls they received yesterday were from STH's cancelling their seats.
