Would there be any good targets that fill a position of need in the late 1st round?

Do they trade up?

Do they go pre-2022 draft and take some off the wall fricker?

My thought is we traded an elite coach and a 3rd round pick for two 2nd round picks

Going to waste it per usual.

Have drafted 2 pro bowlers in the first round in the last 12 years, and somehow project Peat is one of them

Please no. The next time the Saints trade up again, it should be for a franchise QB.

Take the best OL, DT, S, DE, or WR available.

Or you could say we traded our former coach from two seasons ago who wasnt involved with the team anymore, and a third round pick for a first and a second round pick.

We drafted multiple "probowlers" in 2017 after pick 29. Ramy has technically not been a probowler, just a multi time all-pro.

Do you retards understand the value of a first round pick? Obviously not.

Anyway, Daniel Jeremiah mocked Clemson DT Bryan Bresee to go 30th. I’d like him a lot at 29.

Trade down if you can. Build depth at OL, DL, RB and Safety.

Next year, tank, riding out season with cheap talent to get out of salary cap hell.

Then in 2024, you have ammo to either stay pat (assuming tank goes as intended) or trade up (2 2nds) and have a full draft class.

If that second rounder ends up being something like #33 is that a first rounder? So at that point we ended up with two firsts? That's the logic right?

Agree we should be looking at S and D line in the 1st.

so you can find one exception to what I said, because we are talking first rounders

My hope is someone wants to trade back into the 1st at draft time and is desperate enough to include their 2024 1st in the deal along with a 2nd or 3rd in 2023. We need ammo for a young QB at some point.

They’ll end up drafting someone who isn’t even a position of need. I don’t see any QBs making it that far. Maybe we take a QB later in draft.
We need to use that pick on a DL or CB.

This is the way. You want your franchise QB to be the last guy you pay.
