It made my day to read this. Thomas invited Olave to stay with him and workout together. This tells me our WR corps will have solid unity going into the season.

New Orleans Saints rookie Chris Olave learning on the fly with new teammate Michael Thomas
METAIRIE, La. -- Chris Olave's first day of New Orleans Saints rookie camp technically was Friday. The 11th overall pick in the NFL draft, however, has already spent most of the past two weeks getting familiar with his new running mate, Michael Thomas, in their shared home base of Southern California.

Thomas welcomed the fellow former Ohio State receiver over FaceTime shortly after he was drafted -- and then invited Olave to come stay with him and work out.

But I was told Mike is a selfish a-hole that isn't a good teammate.

Olave being a fellow Buckeye probably have a lot to do with it.

Olave might have to do some tutoring, too. Olave has much more experience catching imperfect passes.

All the idiots who have been claiming we should trade Thomas are seething with rage as they read this.

He did bring a lot of it on himself. He fricked up trying to avoid surgery and tried to rehab instead and it blew up in his face. Since then he and the team seems to have patched things up. A healthy happy MT is good for his resume and huge for this team.

I think he was doing what he thought was best for his ankle in the long term. Obviously, he was wrong.

But the idea that a competitor like him would purposefully avoid playing is comical.

He came back early for Brees and doesn’t get enough credit for that because he should definitely not have done that nor did he have to.

All that talk was bullshite. Thomas definitely acted like a diva but I think that was more about him being hurt and frustrated about not being able to get on the field. He’s always been a hard worker and practices like it’s game day. He’s limited though and I suspect this foot injury has probably sapped him of a little speed but that’s not his game anyway which is why getting Olave was so vital so Thomas could have room to out muscle guys underneath.

"He kind of showed love to me since college, so we'd text back and forth every now and then. ... I feel like we have the same mindset. We both want to dominate. We're both competitors. Just when we get on the field, we turn into a different person. Just knowing him and knowing he's on the other side of the field, that's going to make us better and make us go hard."

quote:

Olave said he likes Thomas' "dog" mentality and laughed when he said he has seen it up close over the past two weeks.

"I see it, man. I see the way he works," Olave said. "If he drops a pass, he's punting the ball, he gets mad. But that's who you want around you. I feel like that's going to make you better. He's going to call you out on your B.S.

"So I like Mike as a teammate. Even as a person, I understand him, where he comes from. I see why he goes so hard."

He makes 6th grade level twitter posts or at worse shows very very little intellect. Especially during the Brees saga. Then ghosts his employer for half a year when the experts that yiu know, actually went to medical school, told him to have surgery.

Of course the team doesn’t find all this out until after the draft and fa are well over and done with so it’s to late to make major moves to shore up the position.

He pretty much single handidly blew up Payton’s last year before it started.

They should invite Harty, Callaway, and Winston over then they have something. They are all making millions. Jamies should rent a place in Cabo and practice together,
just don’t say anything to coach O and get hurt.

That's all I was saying. He went with an outside opinion that he could rehab and avoid surgery but that didn't work out.

He did ghost the team but he was buying time to rehab. It's not in his DNA to purposely miss the opportunity to play. I just think he was covering his mistake and it played out too long. I can't wait to see a healthy MT back in the offense.
