I think Penning is overhyped. If you can't get one of the top 3 grab a WR and or Hamilton if there. Fills two needs.

Why are they not looking at Peat at LT? Dude was a LT out of college. Wasn’t capable of beating out Armsread and couldn’t play right side. Why is he getting paid so much if this wasn’t part of the calculation? Have him and Hurst fight it out

I don’t know how much difference there is between the 2. There may be a big one, I’m just not that familiar with their draft grades. But if there is, and we think Cross is a plug and play Day 1 starter and he falls far enough we can move up and get him while still keeping #19, I’m for it. I just don’t want to give up 16 and 19 to get him.
With this being the week of front offices blowing a lot of smoke and getting rumors out there, I’m surprised we haven’t said publicly that we’re prepared to move Ram or Peat to LT, and let Hurst or Young man RT (is Young ready?) if necessary. It seems almost everybody expects us to take a LT and WR in the 1st. Unless that’s what we want everybody to think and have a trick up our sleeves.
I just go back to us trading for that 2nd 1st rounder so early. Such a different move for us that I can’t imagine we did it just crossing our fingers we’ll get good BPA and position of need value. We’ll see.
Btw, the Giants with the 5th and 7th picks not picking up Daniel Jones’ 5th year option is interesting. I don’t think there’s any chance they take a QB that high, but they may want to move down from 7 for a couple of late 1sts and take a QB they think they can develop to be ready to go by ‘23.
