I know we aren’t thinking about that right now, but it’s true. We have the pieces in place. I truly feel like we can do it again, and get even stronger by picking up some good draft picks. This team is going to play with a huge chip on their shoulder.

Ingram gone
No draft picks
Brees possibly done or not playing at his level

Who knows.

at the end of 2017 we needed CB, WR, TE. We picked up Apple, but we still need TE, WR, SS, and more depth at OL.

Vonn Bell has made some progress, and Kurt Coleman is a non factor.
Ben Watson is retiring and Josh Hill is just a solid #2 TE, perhaps Dan Arnold can add a little more weight and take a big step forward.

It’ll one more year on Drew’s arm. His accuracy was still damn good, but there were several throws throughout the year that showed declining arm strength. He needs more help from WR & TE.

Brees isnt the same.

His arm looks tired.

The last 2 years were our best shot at another ring.

I’ll never pay to watch the NFL again.

I’m done. It’s not a competitive sport.

Drew brees arm he cant throw 30 + yards. How do you take the top off a defense and open up the middle and flats without the threat of the deep ball.
Dont get me wrong he is fantastic in the 20 yard range and under but were not winning the S B with DB9 as qb.

You’re not wrong. Everyone is saying Brees is done. But he can still do what Brady did last night. He needs a good WR2 and a TE better than 3rd string. But the defense is strong and getting better, there’s no reason they shouldn’t be elite next season. If we can keep Dennis Allen, our defense can keep us in every single game next year

I agree with you. I think Teddy Bridgewater will play phenomenal when he's leading his team next season

The margin of error is incredibly small. We may never have a better setup than we had this year.

And let’s be honest, Brees definitely did not finish the year on a high note. He will drop off at some point due to his age.

Just sucks man.

Drew's arm may be "done" for this season, but with offseason rest he'll probably be good to go again. I think he just got worn out like a pitcher honestly. Also wouldn't surprise me if he is nursing some kind of injury.

Agree 100% with all of this.

TE needs to be a huge priority, with WR2, which is YEARS overdue, not far behind.

Have to see what happens with the Ingram situation as well. I personally think Yeldon could be a huge addition and make a scary duo with Kamara.

Who else is up for FA?

With the added cap space we can make a couple of nice signings, then as long as we stay healthy, especially on the OL, we really could be even better.

Vikings said the same thing last year. To get in the position we were in, not being New England is an extremely tough task. Unless we make big splashes in free agency, i'd be shocked if we got back the NFCCG next year....it's just that tough and we don't even have a first round pick this year.
