There are going to be several teams lining up to hire Ben Johnson this offseason.

The Saints have to do whatever they have to in order to be first in that line. He’s made Detroit of all teams an actual legit contender with a middle of the road QB in Goff who no one wanted just a couple seasons ago. The ax on DA has to fall swiftly so we have a chance to hire our the right guy to turn this team around and hopefully that guy also has a top 10 pick to draft his new franchise QB.

NOT US... WE GOTS TO MAKE SURE THAT DENNIS ALLEN IS COMPLETE shite BAG BEFORE WE CAN HIS arse.

To add further content, Detroit has a lot of assisants we should make note of.

Asst HC/RB Coach Scottie Montgomery
QB Coach Mark Brunnel
DC Aaron Glenn
LB Kelvin Sheppherd

He just got there and his one hc tenure in college was pretty bad.

He wasn’t a free agent. Mcvay traded him to Detroit in the Stafford deal.

Nothing we can do. He’ll be able to handpick HIS next job, which will either be:

Chicago (Caleb/Harrison Jr)

LAC (Herbert)

It’s not going to happen. Allen will win just enough to keep his job, and between that and our cap issues, we’ll remain in purgatory for most of the decade. We might sneak into the playoffs a time or two, but we’ll have no legit Super Bowl potential.

It’s quite depressing actually.

I think the team's digs their heals in and stick with DA but replace the OC and assistants this offseason. But if we're assuming they replace DA, I think it would take us having a top 5 pick to lure Ben here. Plus, at a minimum he has to be able to have 100% say on the entire coaching staff.

You are gonna have to cheer hard against the saints this year if you want that

Like fired before season bad. Week 13-14, with a decent draft pick

If I were Ben Johnson I would be very selective. Say the chargers are open. Herbert. Saints would need a high pick with promise of a qb

In Scott Shanles interview on AFR he seem to believe that if the Saints do not win this weakass NFC South division heads gon roll. Players and coaches, though he did not specifically say HC he also didn't even try to elude to DA being safe by clipping a few assistants. This team is too talented to miss the playoffs by way of the NFC south.

My bland prediction, The Saints get it together just enough to win the division and get bounced in the first round of the playoffs.
Saving D.A. but changes will come in the offseason. Likely an exciting OC promotion for Ronald Curry and Pete either leaves on his own accord or steps down to coach QB's or assist in some roll. I can't see him getting fired with out D.A. going also.

The brass liked Glenn but I don’t think you can leave one DC spot for another DC spot unless your contract is up or they want you to leave. Brandon Staley will likely be available after this year and we could bring him in as DC.

We will probably end up with Beiniemy or something.

Staley is terrible. All he did with the Rams was let Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey wreck shite. He has done nothing with a ton of talent on the Chargers defense.

NFL twitter nerds were jizzing their pants swearing Staley was revolutionizing football by playing 2 high safety

But like you said, he had maybe the GOAT defensive player and Ramsey doing all the work

Why in the hell would Ben Johnson come here? Seriously, what would bring him to New Orleans? I’m sure the salary cap hell and eventual tear down and rebuild are going to really be attractive.

There are a lot of enticing reasons why a coach would pick the saints

The Rams had to send a 1 to get DET to take him because his value was so negative
