Yes all because of G.W.'s stupidity. He had alot to do with the incredible field position they had in 1st quarter, and all the turnovers. Definitely fire him. We outscored them 32-19 after the first 15 mins and 48 seconds of the game. If only his shitty defense knew how to play football...

Definitely not at all the offense and special teams fault.

That game was so fricking weird. I really never thought we were out of it.

It's so strange that the defense that kept us in the game was the same defense that had the epic meltdown in the end. I thought once we got the lead, that it was a wrap.

People wanna throw GW under the bus, including me. But in reality, all three phases of our team share in the blame.

The sad part is he did the same thing against the Falcons game in Atlanta and and Titans game.

He allowed both offenses to just drive down the field to tie/almost win the game.

And he let the 49ers do it as well. Three times in a season.

Goal line stand. 4th down stop. Nuff said.

Titans game

15 penalties in first half, 8 on saints, one nixed a Sproles TD.

5 turnovers, immediate 17-0 start in the first 15 mins 48 secs of the game, after which we outscored them 32-19.

You are in serious denial.

Falcons drove the field and had a shot to win it at the end. They kicked a fg and sent it to overtime. We stopped them on 4th down...as did other teams.

The Titans drove the field as well. With a rookie QB. And were one play from winning in. Luckily an inexperienced QB buckled.

And the 49ers...well, you know what happened. We had the game won. We overcame all our mistakes. D lost in for us

We held 10 of the 16 regular season opponents to 20 points or less. We went 13-3. No one complained then.

We kicked the Lions up and down the field. No one complained then.

But we commit 3 turnovers that lead to 13 points, where San Fran had to go 13 COMBINED yards to kick 2 FGs and a TD. 13.

We stalled countless 49er drives to put the ball into our offense's hands, only to punt it right back without capitalizing.

The 9ers scored 2 TDs on 3rd and goal. No one steps up to make a play.

There are 11 guys on the defense on the last two drives the 9ers scored. None of them stepped up to make a play when they were in a position to. NONE.

Blame the defensive coordinator though

Sints report says gregg is officially going to St Louis, so the die is cast. Whether it's the right thing to do or not is moot. It's done. All we can do is hope the front office makes the right choice for a replacement.

That's a damn lie. People have been complaining all year, even after the Lions game. I was defending him for most of the year.

The niners game definitely isn't all on him. However, something I saw earlier in the year (in the Titans and first Falcons game) came back to bite us. It was our 2 minute defense. For whatever reason, we had a hard time stopping teams (even if we've been stopping them all game) when they went up tempo. We managed to escape those two games with a win, but somehow Alex Smith was too much to overcome.

I wouldn't put too much into thinking we don't have enough playmakers on defense. Sure, we need to get more talent, but our players are playing the schemes they are given. We def don't need to overhaul. I'd be ecstatic if gw left.....that'd be a huge start to fixing our defensive issues.

We lost to an inferior team yesterday and it's quite possible that either NY or SF, both of which are inferior to the Saints, may be playing in the Super Bowl.

Like it or not, 5 turnovers had as much or more to do with that loss as this did.

This just made me pee blood.

For the last couple of weeks, I've been thinking about how much of a difference missing a ball hawk like Sharper makes. Not the best tackler, obviously, but dang, he knew where to be to find the ball. Once he left, the only thing that worked for this defense slowly evaporated.

Normally it wouldn't be. But it will take time to get the players needed to run whatever system the new Def coord puts in. These DB's were brought in to play man coverage and the D Linemen do not get penetration into the backfield.

Yea it took all of 2009 for the defense to adjust to GW. That didn't work out very well did it? Oh wait!!!!!

Come off the ledge...look what Wade Phillips did in Houston after just one locked out offseason. It can be done.

The sad thing is, we didn't even need that. We showed last year (with less talent) that we could just play solid football when need be. That's not enough for GW though. He has to be a damn hero and force a turnover. We didn't need a turnover Saturday. We just needed to make sure the THE OTHER TEAM DOESN'T MARCH DOWN THE DAMN FIELD IN THE WANING MINUTES OF THE GAME!

And yes, I am mad.
