I understand we are 5-0 with him but lets be honest, he has not lit the world on fire with his play and if not for the D we probably would have lost the Dallas game after his boneheaded sack. His play against Jacksonville was not very good either. Seattle and Chic he was ok and Tampax was good. Sure you can throw at me his QBR rating and completion % look nice but frick all of that. My eye test says the offense will be limited with Teddy at the helm. If Drew says he is ready, you godam start him.

We don't care what your eye test says! Let the media pump ole boy up so we can unload him for Allen Robinson and a 1st!

It's a good thing the fans have a vote and can tell the coaches who needs to start!

Jokes or not some really do.

Bill Simmons for sure does. Because he is insecure about Tom Brady. If you listen to his Pods, he has made dumbass comments like this a few times this year.

"Do we know if Brees is really that good?"

He kind of had foot in mouth after Teddy couldn't move the ball at all a few games.

But another recent one where he complained that Brees isn't getting accused of being a system QB like Brady did when Matt took over for him.

Teddy through 5.5 games is on pace for a 3985 yd season. Quite the vast difference from 5k + for few seasons.

maybe the media is looking at it with an objective point of view. As opposed to a fan base who may have gotten spoiled with a first ballot HOF QB and a love affair with a really tough Morman back up QB who can't throw the ball that well.

Well we went all giddy around as well thinking about what the Saints have done since Drew went out.

Besides you miss the fact that the media loves a good story and Teddy coming back after 2 hard years and going 5-0 is gonna get a run. Plain and simple.

Sounds like something cookem would say.

Theres been two separate occasions now that an unknown, nobody backup QB stepped in for Brady and the offense didnt miss a beat. Both QBs parlayed that into a big payday and havent done shite since.

Have circumstances ever created a better example of a system QB in the NFL than that?

OTOH, you have the Saints, whose offensive passing numbers have plummeted with Brees gone yet they are still finding ways to move the ball and theyre 5-0.

Have circumstances ever created a better display of the incredible skill and value of a QB and HC in the NFL than that? Drew Brees and SP are, without question, two of best ever at their respective positions.

Cassel also went 10-5 in 2008 and then did it again in KC 2 years later

I feel the same way. It comes down to lazy media. National pundits see that TB is 5-0 as a starter but don't take the time to watch every minute of every Saints game. If they were watching, they'd see that we are winning thanks to a defense playing out of its mind, along with a backup QB who is limited in his reads and ability to make accurate throws down the field.

It's not like I hate Teddy Bridgewater but this notion that the Saints are better off without Brees or we shouldn't mess with the win streak by changing QBs is just beyond stupid.

Is not something anyone has said or actually believes outside of trolling. You don't need to be so defensive of Drew that you run down Teddy when he's done a great job filling in.

Nope. Did someone say Drew should be benched for the rest of the season or until after the bye?

Yeah, they had a full roundtable discussion where at least two talking heads said that the Saints should ride the hot hand and keep Teddy as the starting QB since he's undefeated.
