"Not fan of giving up resources for a 9 game rental we'll still need to compete for in FA."

Agreed, but that should also impact the price paid. If it's a relatively low pick and there is some indication Landry might want to play in his (more or less) hometown, then the deal looks better. Landry would be amazing to watch with Brees but the price has to be right.

I am so glad this didn't happen. Thank you football gods.

Damn, LSU fans are making the school look bad in this thread. And ipodking is showing why no one wants him on any board.

There's a ton of stupid in this thread from both sides. The YPR is deceptive as the Dolphins use WR screens to get Landry involved. He's also been used as a gunner on ST and as a punt returner, yet people are acting like he's slow as dirt. Landry would 100% be an asset to this team, just not at the price likely being asked and the cost in the offseason.

No thanks, not if he's asking for #1 money, which I imagine he will.

Other than a late round pick, I don't think it's worth giving up the value of an earlier round pick for a rental.

Bryant and Demaryius aren't better either.

You act as if Miami is the only team with bad QB play.
Not to mention, it's more likely that Tannehill was held back by his WR corp than his WR corp was held back by Tannehill, specific to last season.

In fairness, you use a guy where he works the best. If Landry was a legit deep and intermediate threat, they'd use him there and his YPC would reflect that.

Word is they wanted at least a first round pick.
