This is good to hear but I'm not getting my hopes up. Either way the Saints come out looking good in this negotiation

He said he wanted an offer even if it was a low ball. So now it's time to see where he stands, it's that simple. I'm not rag-ing him.

The guy deserves to get paid, he has been quiet the past few years and get a fraction of what he is worth in the league.

The clock is ticking, please pull this off.

Evans, 26, and the Saints agreed on a seven-year deal announced by the team Wednesday.
The contract is worth $56.7 million and Evans will receive $19 million in the first year and $25.7 million over the first three years of the deal,

Professional athletes are strange creatures. They've been told their great all life, but I think most of them seek acceptance. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but maybe he'll sign because he's found a "family."

Good, now he can stop his bitching. The guy is talented as hell, and I'd love to have him back, but he has really shown himself to be an arse during this whole situation.

IF THE SAINTS PULL OFF KEEPING ALL 3 ILL BE STUNNED
I would be shouting that too. With the offseason that we have had, if we can keep all 3, it would be like God himeself decided to shite a miracle all over us.

how so? He felt betrayed because it seemed like the Saints didn't want him after all the hard work he put in. The fact that he was complaining showed he cared
i think that people who get so worked up over the business side of the players are the asses

Thats just the type of person he is. He speaks his mind. You probably worshipped him after the super bowl when he said 'we gon to motherfrickin disneyworld!'

Nicks is easily one of my favorite players in the league. It is refreshing to see someone speak their mind without being batshit crazy.

I'm getting worked up on the business side because I think he's being an arse? Does you insinuating that I'm an arse mean you get worked up over people getting worked up over the business side of the NFL? See how your logic works?
I understand his frustration, but to go on the radio and say the team is going in a different direction because they didn't low ball you and all of the other stupid things he's said on Twitter and such, when they are busy trying to sign their most important player in franchise history is being an arse. You can show you care in a better way.

Since when is that a valid defense? I can't murder someone and have my lawyer tell that judge, "Well, that' just the type of person he is..."

And you're probably the type of person who makes false assumption about people you don't know on a message board. You can't compare the emotional high RIGHT after winning the Super Bowl to the bitching he's been doing.
And for the record, no, I did not worship him for that.
