He said on the radio a while back he felt disrespected because he wanted to stay, but they didn't make an offer. Of course, he also said he wanted to be the highest paid G in the league. Hopefully he likes it here to accept a reasonable offer.

There's a load of tweets to him from other players encouraging him to stay. You can tell there is some special camaraderie among these guys.

I don't think that's fair. Even if he took a bigger contract, I have don't think it would be ALL about the money for him.
It's also easier to part with money that's not yours.

He's already got a ring and kept his mouth shut over the past two years while he made about 8% what he was actually worth. If he goes to Cincinatti because they offered an extra million or two over 6 years, yeah, that's one thing. But if he goes to a team with a shitload of cap space that can offer him an extra $2-3m a year and is a few pieces away from being a contender, it would be pretty childish to rag on him for it. Don't act like Drew Brees didn't do pretty much exactly that six years ago (getting the most cash, I mean).

Jesus Christ. We don't owe evans 50 mil. Man. A bunch of his contract has been paid. What i hope is that nicks stays and convinces brees to follow suit.
