Are basically like a desperate guy in his 40’s at a strip club. They become fascinated with one stripper, and then they sell the farm to be able to get a lap dance from that one stripper.

I never understand the draft strategy. Our roster has too many holes to be trading up and giving all our picks away, especially on offense. You could probably cut all of the TE’s on our current roster and no one would notice or care. We need a good TE and several receivers to complement Michael Thomas. Also, we need another RB, OG, OT, DT, CB, and S.

This roster is not a quick fix situation. We need to draft a lot of guys to fix the holes on our team at a cheap price.

Focusing in on a couple of guys makes no sense. We should probably have just kept all our picks and picked the best player available at each spot.

That's a terrible take. The stripper analogy is pretty dumb.

Most teams have holes but your acting like they are the Lions or something.

Do you remember they damn near made the playoffs while playing 4 different QB's one of which lost five straight games and not having their best receiver? The Oline was shuffled every single game because of injuries and yet they still almost were in the playoffs.

Saints have holes but not nearly like you say. Makes me wonder if we watch the same team?

The defense should continue to be top five in the league. Add in some consistent QB play, less Oline injuries, hopefully less injury shuffling, Kamara hopefully not missing to much time, and some growth from Trautmen, Ruiz, etc and I like where the stack up in the South.

Plus your not even thinking of UDFA which the Saints have a history of finding some contributors to sign from that group.

Yeah I remember that. It’s a different season, bro. Our roster is different now.

Some of you people don`t have a clue. The Saints have
the one of the winningest franchises in the NFL the last
10 years. They have a very talented young team and some
IDIOTS on this board are just miserable negitivem nellies.
Do any of you work 16 hrs a day scouting college or pro
players, obviously not or you would be working in the league.

How about a little more detail in what you would change Cheif since your an expert? Who did they lose thats going to tank everything. It is Armstead because they have tons of options to replace him. Is your issue the best WR is coming back. Do you think the defense will take a huge leap backward without Lattimore.

I dont. I think if they stay healthy they will be in a good spot to compete with the Bucs in the South. After that anything can happen in the playoffs.

We have one of the most complete rosters in football. Do you even watch the team or do you just regurgitate what the media says?

This is just bad all the way around. Draft is 7 rounds. Realistically it is only 5. Only a handful of 6th and 7th round picks make rosters and fewer actually produce well enough. Tom Brady is the ultimate outlier.

The most pressing need for the Saints were OT and WR. They got 2 of the top prospects to get those. Ideally the 3rd and 4th round picks would have been great but I can live with those being traded to get the WR that was needed.

The Saints have been successful in years past signing UDFA for RBs. I expect they will do again this year.

You answered your own questions: you don’t understand the strategy. It’s not that hard. The saints don’t draft for need.

No one reads their own press clippings like our front office.

We have 1 amazing draft and then smell our own farts for a decade.

That's a weak analogy. Your saying the guy sold the farm for A lap dance from one stripper. Do you think lap dances from multiple strippers who not quite as good would have been cheaper?
