In all seriousness, we need athleticism, range, and the ability to cover at ILB, and Hawk provides none of that. Green Bay was so desperate at ILB, they moved their best defensive player from OLB to ILB last year.

The only scenario that I could see us signing Hawk is if we cut Hawthorne (which is likely to happen), are unable to sign a decent FA replacement (it is a weak ILB FA class), are unable to draft an ILB that we feel comfortable playing, and he takes a 1-2 year vet minimum deal. I doubt that ILB isn't made a high enough priority, especially after cutting Hawthorne, to not address in FA or in the early rounds of the draft.

I'd dig up Mills' bones, slap a jersey on them and throw them 3 yds behind the line before I would do that

I think A. J. Hawk is one of the worst linebackers that PFF has analyzed. I don't think we need someone like him.

Agreed. I hope we don't get desperate enough to attempt filling our hole at ILB with Hawk this offseason.
