The offensive pass interference was confirmed as called on the field

Would have been the same outcome of the NFCCG.

Fans got played again. frick this league.

Pathetic.

Has any PI call been overturned yet?

A couple. I think the refs are upset with it, thus refusing to overturn obvious calls. When the above happen in real games they will be put to task on the national tv.

If this is how PI is going to be reviewed, they should get rid of the challenge option. It feels like the refs are never going to overturn the call on the field.

wow

There is a major disconnect between the refs and those who have watched the game forever.

In no game ever, at no time, was that ever offensive pass interference.

A 5 year old can see thats not OPI. The NFL is becoming a worse and worse product by the day.

There was another one in that game where they called OPI on a Bengals TD that wasn't OPI.

It was challenged and upheld to the amazement of the NFLN commentators.

This is why ratings will continue to drop. The standard isn’t being upheld, and the inmates are running the show. Until the league decides to start maintaining the rules, it is pointless to even watch.

yeah... mostly non-calls turned into PI calls due to slight tugs and hand fighting

in fact... in last night's Eagles game the Eagles got a 1st & Goal at the 1 yd line b/c a non-call was reviewed and turned into a DPI in the end zone due to a slight jersey tug

ETA: next play... walk in TD

Does anyone have another angle? The comments in the thread said that the WR pushed off right before that video started. That is why he had so much separation. When you look at the live footage, the ref throws the flag as #13 is jumping, so there may be something to the push off.

This is what a lot of the opponents of the review were worried about. You may be able to argue this on any pass play with tight coverage. It would be similar to looking at holding on the O-line.

Did they ever make helmet-to-helmet reviewable. If they actually gave a shite about player safety, this is the area they would focus on.

well... as the broadcasters in the Eagles game said... if the officials make the 1 very obvious call in NOLA last January... we're not even talking about this

so they only have themselves to blame

Are the refs on the field still the final say on whether the call is overturned?? If so then they shouldn’t be. They have a skin in the game. These booth reviews should be conducted by someone in the home office. It would make the calls more consistent as well as being unbiased (unbiased in the sense of the referee will give his crew the benefit of the doubt on close calls).
