I think Brees/Carmichael would be fine running the offense. They should just focus on a younger, defensive minded HC. James Bettcher (37, Cards DC) stands out a bit, but I haven't done much digging yet.

Marrone with Jim Schwartz as DC wouldn't be the worst hire in the world. I prefer to keep Payton, of course.

Coughlin lucked into those wins. Not a good example as I think he's the most overrated coach in NFL history. In fact, I think he's a shitty coach.

Won 63% of his playoff games, he is more than lucky, also 170 career wins. Even made Jacksonville relevant for awhile. He is certainly an above average coach.
