Sucks to be the better team.

Just hold on to the ball Saints and we are going to the NFC championship.

It is really that simple.

Just hold on to the ball. Stop the turnover bullshite.

Not even an issue if we don't turn the ball over.

You coughed up a lot of turnovers against the league's best in takeaways. Status quo.

Try again.

Maybe there will some kind of time warp and we will wake up tomorrow and find out that computer formula has determined we will get a rematch

Hello Oregon fan, anyone hating on the Saints in 09, etc.

Those were all fricking TAKEAWAYS, not gifts. Oh, and it should have been 6 cause Ivory fumbled too.

Look, congrats on the win, but if you think the 49ers were the better team you are kidding yourself.

5 turnovers and the Saints were still leading with less than a minute to go. Saints also dominated the time of possession and outgained that sorry excuse you guys have for an offense (outside of Davis, dude is a beast) by a lot.

I disagree. The better team today was the 9ers plain and simple. We may be the better team on paper, but the game is played on the field. We had our chance and blew it.

So how exactly are they the better team? They did what they're good at. The TOs weren't flukes. Big boy football on the road, and we're a very physical, ball-hawking team.

Better team won.

You guys seem to be ignoring that without our offense being completely inept on its own from 17-0 on to the end of the game, the final score would have been a lot worse. It's not like GW was dialing up a masterpiece and really causing it either.

At the end we finally went back to what we're best at and voila.

Kudos for GW blitzing us so much in the preseason though.

The fact that you couldnt hold on to the ball was evidence that you were not the best team on the field.

Being fundamentally sound is part of the game.

The winner of tomorrow's game is fortunate to be reminded of the turnover issue with the 9ers. The Saints were not fortunate to have played you guys this year and develop a learning experience. If so, it would have been a different outcome. If so, there would not have been that many turnovers.

SF will not make it past GB or the Giants. All these guys need to do is hold on to the ball.

piss in one hand, and call yourself the "better team" in the other. See which fills up first.

The only fact is the Saints lost two years in a row in the playoffs to a team that was the underdog. This board would be laughing at those facts if it were Dallas, San Diego or Chicago. Facts are facts. Saints are a regular season team that for the last two years gave the league playoff performances to talk about I a negative way for yrs. After those losses the Saints on the verge of being considered one year wonders .... Some don't want to hear it, but that's the facts.

completely agree, defense played great in the face of 5 turnovers, but it was the issue at the end. this team had the talent to win the SB. sucks.
