He's on the last year of his contract
He's gonna be 29 this year
He has multiple concussions

If he's signing a 3/60 extension (essentially to make it 4/72)

You have to consider a mid round would be worth it.

He sucks

Yea he averages a paltry 80 Recs, 1,000 yds & 5-8 (over 8 full seasons) TDs a year but hell the Saints don’t have a need for a proven WR2 that can take the top off a Defense.

If we’ve learned anything about the Saints the last 5-6 years is that they’re basically swimmin in quality NFL WRs - Right?

BRILLIANT !!!!!

I know they are completely different types of WRs, but instead of trading capitol for a fairly pricey Cooks I'd rather sign Jarvis Landry. Landry's impending contract cannot be that expensive considering how little interest he seems to be getting.

If you want a burner type WR, sign Will Fuller. Not as proven, but younger and would not cost us draft capitol

At some point gotta think it’s a cooks problem and not an organization problem.

Or a contract problem

Saints and Pats got out before he was due his first big deal. Rams traded and gave him the deal, then traded him bc they were in cap hell

Cooks has been a 1k WR at every stop including on two Super Bowl teams

Cooks has become a leader for a young Texan team

Cooks team leader

Will Fuller would be great if his head was screwed on right.

Any WR in the first round can be better than Cooks

I do t want to give up assets for a guy like Cooks.

Unless we sign Jarvis Landry, I think best we can do is sign a guy like Keelan Cole or Dede Westbrook and draft a WR.
