Evan Silva??Verified account?

#Saints WR Ted Ginn has an 81.5% catch rate (previous career high is 60.2%) with 1 drop among 27 targets this year.

Punt return heart attacks aside, the man has done well to take the sting away from losing cooks and not having snead healthy, even if just a little bit.

Ted Ginn fits the Devery Henderson role perfectly.

That's because this is by far the best QB he's ever caught balls from. Brees puts the ball on your hand and throws you open.

I really appreciated having Ginn when he converted the screen on 3rd and 17 yesterday (also Peat mauled some people on screens yesterday). His big play ability is nice to have. Cooks would have fallen before the sticks, but Ginn did what he needed for the extra yards.

just needs an avg of 44 yards a game to hit career high receiving numbers.

This scares me honestly. I think we need a more sure handed guy when the PR is standing on the 30 or further. I'm going to cringe when one of those determines a game.

But everyone assured me he'd drop over 10 passes and cost us games. How can this be?

He's right inline with my expectations for him coming into this offense. However, yesterday's production well exceeded any single-game expectation I had.

Congrats, Ted. Keep it up and you'll surpass Thomas.

Not saying it's going to happen but if he continues to have games like yesterday he could.

Most surprising to me is his speed hasn't left him. Usually that leaves first, and guys who are pure speed runners are out of the league pretty quick.

He's over a decade now still just running right by CBs

What I have noticed with the Saints is that they are allowing Ginn to play the Snead role only better with speed. Ginn is getting a lot of passes within 5-7 yards of the LOS and then getting YAC.

What I saw continually from the Carolina offense was 3-4 throws to Ginn on 45 yard plays down the field each game. One throw would be overthrown, one would be in coverage, one would go off his hands and maybe one would be complete.

I think getting the ball to him short and often on the move helps him be a more complete receiver.

Have we even tried to throw a deep ball to Ginn this season?

naw, you went on and on about his drops in the past didnt exist, spinning it every chance you got

i know you wanna gloat per the usual, but the fact that he has a previous career high catch rate of 60% shows you had no idea what you were talking about

Ya, catch rate is really more indicative of a QB’s accuracy. Drew Brees WR are at the top of the lists every season

Also if Curtis Johnson turned Marques Colston into one of the most sure-handed receivers in the NFL, he can work wonders with Ted Ginn.

Show me where I've stated ANYTHING other than the problem being overstated. I've said all along that he's had some drop issues, but people were acting like he was averaging 10 a year and that he'd have at least that many this year.

Look how everyone overreacted to the first preseason game.

Also looking pretty good so far with our bet. They have 5 combined so far. Only 3 to go.

Yep, because he sucked with the Dolphins.

He's similar to Joey Galloway in that respect.

Except you always fail to neglect the number of drops in relation to targets. You were literally the only person in the world championing for the guys’ hands when it’s a statical fact that his drop % was less than ideal

Remind me of the bet
ETA - that okafor and Kikaha combine for 12 sacks?
