He's more deserving than any Saints player ever.

And i kike how you've shifted from your irrational Morested hate

Dude, i stopped shitting on morestead 2 years ago bc of how pathetic he became for even the blind to see.

to irrational Taysom infatuation.

My infatuation for Taysom is very rational. Its so rational that it pisses you off. Its like fricking clockwork i've been sitting here shitting on the lack of commitment he's had from the Saints and then 3 days later, Bam. If he balls out the rest of year like i expect, the Saints have them a steal of a player for a few years.

Kamara is becoming a problem. He doesn't fit the pedigree of what our offense is in need of. We need a work horse bruiser.

Seems like this locks Taysom in for 2 more years and we avoid the automatic $9mm dead cap in 2022-23

Basically he’s on a real contract for his current salary for 2 years now, not all voidable

It’s an overpay but not really a big deal. Saves us money in the short term

Makes you wonder if his injuries/this contract are part of why he didn't play a down yesterday. I'm sure he is a little less concerned about that next big hit now that he has 22.5M guaranteed.

Unless this new deal somehow counts for more against the cap than $9 million, this is fine. I’ve already accepted that Sean wants him on the team, if he’ll be a little cheaper, whatever.

Idk

I do know this sets the stage for players who are hybrids to demand a contract like this. Think a DE/OLB guy who will want money based on the DE market.

Just please explain how he is worth more than any Saint that is currently starting, let alone ever?

What exactly has he done this year?

Well, they better put their money where their mouths are and address the receiver position with whatever cap room they have this offseason.

ETA: this looks like the details from his extension he did in March

That was a restructure that added some voidable years to the end to spread the hit. This is different

This is strange.

Want to look into it further.

Need to know what the real yearly money is. No way am i paying taysom 10 mil a year to be the backup qb/hybrid. Maybe 4 or 5 but not 10.

fricking why?

Because he is fricking good, moron. He is a threat every time he touches the ball. More times than not the defense has to call a time out to figure out how to defend.
