Hill admitted that he could not remember anything that happened forty five minutes after the hit
.

I had my bell rung a few times but the worst was in Jr. High. I remember stumbling around after and hearing the coaches say go get your shower and go home you had your bell rung. I do not remember going home, nor dinner or going to bed that night, getting up and going to school. Nothing until around lunch time. Family didn't notice. Next day one of my coaches said oh, how are you, could you help me grab a couple of blocking dummies?
Different world then.

I was a fullback and we ran a play to run clock out and go into halftime. I lead blocked and took on a LB in a pretty nasty collision for a play that meant nothing. We both had our bells rung and I remember nothing about rest of game even though I continued playing. Had severe headaches the entire weekend.

The damage is real. I am not one bit surprised that it takes it's toll over time. If anything I am stumped that there isn't more wide spread damage as a result of the collisions. I guess it just goes unreported.

He should retire after that

I had an mri that showed if I remember how it was stated a thinning of white matter around brain. I can’t remember (lol) the exact details. Neurologist stated they are seeing that more and more with people who even only played through HS level. This was early 40s and it was much “thinner” than it should have been

You are likely correct.

He’s made $22mm and doesn’t come off as an irresponsible knucklehead - take that money and retire. You created generational wealth my friend.

Why?

Pretty common after most hard concussions

Most players miss 4 weeks because of a concussion? And blackout for an hour?

Idk about that

Taysom should probably retire. He has a young child and wife to think about now. Some things are bigger than football.

The player that hit him was not even fined. The NFL swept the helmet to helmet late hit under the rug. The offending player claimed he was going for the ball. The replay shows an attempted knockout shot. The NFL and player safety are a farce.

I know you didn't ask me, but Taysom has a history with concussions. This wasn't his first or second scare.

What a stupid take. If anything, an ex LSU player would make me want to retire even more. Any player with a concussion history and forced the miss a month because of the most recent one should at the very least give some thought into his future.

People find it so easy to say this person or that one should quit their job, their dream and their love for a variety of reasons.

Its such a small window of time most in sports have that its just not a place I usually go even if your stumbling Willie Mays in the outfield.

As to Taysom he is getting better advise than from us fans as to what is safe and what is risky.

Plus he owns a clothing line with his 2 brother in laws. The joggers from his clothing line is actually really comfortable.

Does it?
If according to you CSP didn't give him a fair shot to compete in pre season why would he now?
