how the hell didn't we have a legit team after the 2011 season until 2017
so many wasted years
12 was a trash year and 13 we made the divisional round and lost to the eventual SB champs
We won 11 games and still got the 6 seed. 10 win Arizona stayed home.
2014-2016... I'd look at the 2014 and 2015 drafts
2014: Cooks, Jean-Baptiste, Fortt
2015: Project Peat, Anthony, Kikaka, Garrett Grayson, Williams
We started drafting better in 2016.

Idiots always trying to re-write history smh.

We didn't have a 2nd receiver. Rams double teamed Thomas, and yes because Brees arm strength was getting weaker he couldn't make deep throws.

Giving up that fake punt and letting Jared Goff beat them deep a few times didn’t help

I mentioned something once but got chewed out about it. It was about the completion to Ginn that got us down there before the no call. I believe that if Drew wasn't injured that pass to Ginn would have been caught closer to the end zone if not in it. There's a good chance it would have been a td.

True, Brees was done by 2018. He couldn't go deep and teams knew that.
It's hard for teams to cut a franchise great, but Saints overpaid to keep Brees. While Tom Brady had a cap hit of $15Mil, Saints had a cap hit of $27Mil for Brees.
This is why the Saints are in salary cap hell.

Yes, of course the NFL wanted Goff over Brees.

If you think this shite wasnt rigged against us, then you dont watch. GTF.
I ask this question of anyone that says it was rigged against the Saints. If you were rigging a game is that how you’d do it? Wait until the team you want to lose has a 3 rd down in the red zone, and just tell the refs not to call an obvious penalty? The Saints still loved a FG and took the lead, how did the league “rig” the Rams marching into FG territory to tie the game and then “rig” a 57 yard FG to win?
Sorry if you thin it was rigged you are just reaching for excuses because it’s easier to believe than to accept the Saints blew it

2013 was a good year, the Saints were unfortunate that they had to play Seattle in Seattle in pouring rain storm at the height of the Legion of Boom. That team was a good team.
That 2018 team was on a roll until that play against the Falcons. The Saints came out of that Thanksgiving Night game 10-1 and prior to that game Brees was unstoppable. He destroyed Philadelphia the week before and stole Andy Dalton and the Bengals manhood the week before that. If he's not injured who knows what could have been. The Saints were an unstoppable force. You see that Brees was not right later in the game against the Falcons and he was certainly not right against the Cowboys a week later....however he was good against the Steelers but by the Philly playoff game you could tell. Although that 13 minute drive in the 2nd half was masterful

Spot on, I get downvoted everytime but FFS, our scoring output was ridiculous... we just couldn't stop other teams from scoring more.
