I say true. He was playing at a very high level midway through the season. After the Thanksgiving game against the Failcons when he injured his shoulder, he was washed up from that point on and was a major disappointment in the playoffs. His subpar performance against both the Eagles and Rams eventually did us in.

It doesn’t matter. We did win a SB which is something no long time fan thought we could do. Imagine if we had Brees and never won a SB. He got hurt and regressed, shite happens.

The bigger disappointment is how the hell didn't we have a legit team after the 2011 season until 2017

so many wasted years

Exactly. Be mad at the Saints for wasting several years of his prime. Don’t be mad at him for getting old and injured.

Also, let’s not act like his old cripple arse wasn’t still better than anything we had this year.

This. Can’t blame anyone other than ownership who didn’t put enough pressure on Loomis and Payton to turn it around

Let it go, man.

I bet you probably started a decline of Tom Brady thread on the Buc’s site, too.

False.

Roger Goodell is why the Saints didnt win.

If you think this shite wasnt rigged against us, then you dont watch. GTF.

SP said Im tired of trying to beat a stacked and rigged deck and bounced.

If you really watch you would know the Saints have been cheated year in and year out.

Cry us a river. Make the plays necessary for victory and you don’t have to worry about judgment calls from the refs.

Drew Brees and Dan Arnold both sucked dick that fateful day back in January 2019.

False. If the flag gets thrown it’s a spot foul and we have a good chance to go ahead and win the game right there.
Brees (and Cook) did cost us the game last January though.

True absolutely true. We win a SB with Jameis. Think about that for a minute.

the offense converted a lot of 3rd downs in that game it seemed like.

some 4th downs too.

like it just seemed as if we struggled on the early downs.

the Lattimore interception got the momentum going for us in that game for real.

Brees threw a few bad balls in the rams game but the one where we got fricked over, of course that one looked perfect

T or F: We have a spoiled fricking fan base. Boo hoo Drew hurt his shoulder and didn't carry the team like he normally did. Boo hoo How come we don't win every game and win the Super Bowl every year. Their are about 28 other teams that would gladly trade places with our record from 2006 to 2020.Learn to appreciate success and hard it is to achieve particularly in pro football or go in the corner and suck your fricking thumbs. This finger pointing blame game bullshite has gotten really old.

Drew was poor in the playoffs in 2018-2020. The first half of Minnesota in 2017 was also rough. Not sure if it was injuries or not but it also wasn’t just drew - our offensive line also struggled in playoffs 2019 Minnesota loss and what happened to the protection that game still a head scratcher to me.

2012 was the bounty year and 2013 was a great team. It won 11 games and ran into a juggernaut in Seattle with in the playoffs. I was so confident heading into 2014.

Now 2014-2016 was inexcusable. 7-9 three straight years with still peak drew seems impossible.

Walking into the Dallas game the saints were by far the best team. Brees hurt his shoulder that day and wasn’t the same the rest of the year or career

Yet there we were, with what should have been first and goal with less than 2 mins on the clock.

Well, there was this thing called Bounty Gate, pretty much manufactured by Goodell to achieve this very result.
